Because I feel so very sorry that my dear readers have not been updated on my very uninteresting life for...a very long time, I have decided to post the entry that I typed right after I submitted my History field report. I hadn't slept for 30 hours at that point (yeah I know I said it was 24 hours in the post but that's wrong) and after a nice loooooooong nap I got up, reread the entry, decided I sounded completely hysterical from lack of sleep, and left it as a draft. So here it is now, completely unedited. :P
Five down.
Well, that's all the essays I have to do this sem. (Obviously not counting exams. :P)
1000-word History midterm, 1500-word Art&History midterm, 1500-word Political Science research paper, 1500-word European Studies midterm, and 1500-word History field report.
They all sucked. And I'm not talking about the experience, since apparently people don't know this but I had to do quite a few research papers back in poly. :P
They suck so much I can't decide which was my worst one. Art&History, probably (although I only got 5 marks less than for my History midterm). Maybe European Studies (if I ever get around to collecting my paper). I hope not Political Science, after all the boring research I did (and it's worth 30%!!!).
I also hope not the History field report (the one on the ACM) that I just handed in. Funny how the stupid field report turned out to be the hardest one to complete. The questions were just...vague. Which of course meant throwing in a lot of random rubbish and then having to seriously cut down the report. Plus there was nothing to argue about, although I don't think I'm supposed to be arguing about anything anyway. Oh and I'm supposed to link it to what I learnt in class, but there was almost NOTHING to link it to. :P
Ironically too, I thought I would have more than enough time to finish the report since I had nothing on last week (other than the French test). But that was before I realised it was tutorial week - particularly my LAST Political Science tutorial, during which I had to say something or not get any participation marks at all.
Which meant I had to actually catch up (sort of) on my Political Science readings. Which I most certainly haven't been doing lately. Or at all. And I also had to catch up on European Studies. WWI suddenly became very interesting...but then History tutorial rolled around and I had no time to complete it and had no idea what was going on since it was on the Korean War and HELLO ONE WAR IS ENOUGH FOR MY BRAIN CELLS AT ANY ONE TIME THANK YOU.
Anyway, things worked out in the end (I SPOKE IN BOTH EURO STUDIES AND POL SCI TUTORIALS! AND I WASN'T CALLED TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS IN HISTORY!) so I am not too sad that it came down to very last-minute work again. Unfortunately I had to miss my Euro Studies lecture, which means I missed out on copying five thousand pages of notes...........but at least it wasn't another tutorial. I swear I am never going to miss another tutorial unless I'm half dead (with an MC of course) or actually dead. :P
And now that I haven't slept in..............I have no idea how long, 24 hours maybe...............I don't know why I'm rambling on here when I should be having a nice hot bath and forgetting about my stupid lousy essays but remembering that I still have TWO French tests, the Euro Studies presentation, and my Art&History slide test left.
WILL THESE SIX WEEKS PLEASE END NOW. I want to watch the last 8 episodes of Supernatural 3 and read my new books (I had to spend $50 to renew my PageOne card) and OF COURSE BUY MY DSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! And I also want to just take 4 modules next sem. Which I can, so why not? :P

HELLO AGAIN!!! I'M STILL ALIVE!!! Barely, but still. Especially since, if you've heard, I didn't even sleep last night. I spent the whole of Pol Sci lecture staring blankly at the screen. And thank goodness I didn't get called during History tutorial. I didn't have time to even read the stupid tutorial assignment. :P
Oh and speaking of History, apparently I don't monumentally suck at writing essays. Or at least not my first essay. However, I'm sure I monumentally suck at French. Just now I was in class falling asleep when my lecturer asked me if I was lost. I was like OMG WHY DID SHE ASK ME THAT? IS IT 'COS I LOOK HALF-DEAD OR I WAS STARING BLANKLY AT THE BOARD...OR DID I FAIL MY FRENCH TEST?????????!!!!!!!!!!!
Fortunately I don't need to know yet, since the lecturer forgot to bring our papers. She said we can collect it tomorrow (or rather, today) from her office, or just wait for her to return it to us on Monday.
I think I'll wait. :P
Anyway, I wanted to blog during my holidays but I didn't have time (obviously). My stupid Art&History essay took soooooooooooooooooooo long to complete since there were 5 questions and my lecturer wanted a 300-word response for each question, which would have been quite easy if only there were things to actually write about. It's a bit hard to write about the function of medieval religious art with references to artwork covered in lectures when my lecture notes are all like a few WORDS long for each artwork. :P
So, thanks to the great delay, I got started on my Pol Sci essay very late and that's why I'm now rushing for time. It's due next Monday but I can't afford to finish it on Monday itself since I have a Euro Studies essay due on Thursday. And the worst thing is I also have a French ORAL TEST on Tuesday! *dies* And the next week I'll have ANOTHER French test, which will be the first French test I'll actually have time to prepare for. :P
Oh and to end all my ramblings about schoolwork, I also received my second History assignment:
"This assignment asks students to critically assess how Asian history is represented and remembered in the Asian Civilizations Museum (Empress Place).........Students will be asked to interpret the way in which the ACM tells its stories of Asia by visiting the Museum on their own and putting their thoughts to paper."
As you can imagine, I laughed my head off when I first read it - even though I was in the middle of the com centre and rushing to print and hand in my essay. (Oh yeah and I finally met Ana in school right before that! Haha.) So now I actually have an excuse to go back. Maybe I can get my ex-colleagues to help! Just kidding. :P
In other holiday news, the only interesting thing I did was go to Sam's and play. But of course first she had to start ranting at how I'm usually late and accusing me of waking up only when she called my hp........then very kindly made me wait for her for half an hour. No surprise why I was "rather grumpy". :P
And then of course we spent a looooooong time at the game shop looking through all their games, Wii for Sam and DS for me - although Sam kept getting the guy to show her DS-es. AND YES I AM GOING TO GET A DS IN DECEMBER (i.e. after my exams - hopefully on the actual day they end!) AND MY FUND IS QUITE HEALTHY AT THE MOMENT BUT YOU ARE ALWAYS FREE TO CONTRIBUTE. :P
Oh AND THE CRIMSON/BLACK DS IS MINE. :P
*cough*
So after our looooooooooooong browse in the shop, Sam finally bought Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 and we could finally go to her house and have lunch (it was past 2 p.m. already and we were both starving).
Then we played the game - or rather, Sam unlocked the minigames whilst I fell asleep on the beanbag. :P
After that we switched to Mario Party 8 (where Birdo finally won!) and HOTD2, where we got surprisingly far even though for some reason we were having a hard time killing everything. Hahaha. Oh and we even speculated what a 4-player version of HOTD2 would be like, i.e. being able to play as Amy and Harry too. Basically if you play as them, your only tasks will be to chitchat on your phone (Amy) and steer the speedboat (Harry). Once you separate from James and Gary, Amy and Harry will have to find a safe place to hide until they can reappear again and pretend that they've been battling zombies just as hard as J & G. Oh and Amy gets to touch Gary's chest and Harry gets to be injured by one of the bosses. HAHAHA. So fun.
And after all our gaming, we met YQ and went to Popeyes for dinner, where the chicken strips were soooooooooooo tiny I felt cheated. :P But my green tea McFlurry cheered me up after that. :)
Okay, and that's all for today. Have to return to my essay. Not to mention I just realised this week (and not last week) is actually Week 7, which means I have Pol Sci tutorial later, which means I have to prepare AND wake up early. :P And on Saturday morning I have to go to school again for a "special edition" Euro Studies tutorial where they invite European ambassadors to come and talk to us. I admit I am very bothered by the fact that though the talk replaces this week's 2-hour tutorial (which actually doesn't make much of a difference since my tutorial class was on the public holiday), the talk itself is 3 hours long. :P
CHEATED!!!
I am so celebrating on Thursday after I hand in my Euro Studies essay. Especially since I'm not expecting to sleep much until then... P.S. to Sam 1: THAT FROG IS DISGUSTING LAH YOU DISGUSTING PERSON WHO TAKES DISGUSTING PICTURES OF DISGUSTING DEAD FROGS! P.S. to Sam 2: And Disturbia is bleah. You like it meh? It's called an updated Rear Window but that's such an insult to Rear Window; the ending was sooooooooo over-the-top. :P But I liked Ronny. :P
