I remember once in secondary school, when I was back in class after being on MC for a day or two. We had PE that morning and as I climbed up the stairs to class after that, the whole world was spinning.

Today was the opposite. I was aware of it the moment I sat down for breakfast. Everything seemed to be moving very sluggishly.

Mother: Do you want cereal for breakfast tomorrow?

(5 seconds later)

Jessica: ...What?

That was NOT a good sign. I thought when my fever subsided on Sunday morning, things would turn out all right. Of course my stomach started working up and then my head started feeling like it was about to drop off...

I would've been better off staying at home, except I seem to fall sick when I CANNOT afford to miss school. In MMR it became more and more obvious that anyone talking near me gave me a big headache. I spent the one hour break in the library and you can imagine the state of my headache when this class came and sat on the chairs and tables in front of me, talking and laughing and giggling loudly about movies.

The sluggish movement of the world meant I had trouble paying attention in DMA also, although I was quite sane while working on my trailer. Or not. I kept finding hilarious-looking clips in the video.

I took a gamble on CONB, which failed miserably, so I left school after that. I've never been home so early on a Monday before, which would've been lovely if I didn't have that splitting headache. And the medicine did not work.

BUT enough of my pitiful recount of the day. Let's get back to last Friday...

FRIDAY, a.ka. "The Sausage That Spoiled Everything" / "Goodbye #3!"

I was highly distracted and sleepy on Friday morning. Only by some freak chance did I manage to get to school on time. Although I was VERY tempted to miss the three lectures. Anyway, the usual Friday pattern followed: fall asleep in CONB, pay slightly more attention in LSC, get fidgety and impatient to leave in OM.

When I finally left, I went straight home to dump my bag and change. Then I met Sam at Orchard 1.5 - 2 hours later, having already had lunch. We walked in the usual places before I had to rush back to SP. Thanks to someone's indecisiveness over a quick snack, we left slightly later than expected. And thanks to someone's heavy red bag, we missed the first no. 14.

What happened in the end? I was a full 20 min late for my meeting!!!

We got off at the side gate (which I've never been anywhere near before), and I realised I hadn't brought my admission card along. Which meant a time-wasting detour to the usual entrance, and a crazy dash up the hill and to the 6th floor of T22, where I left Sam outside (mwahaha) before venturing into the room.

I was passed a list of future assignments, read it, and was told I could leave.

ERM.

But I had something else to do, so I lingered a little longer to ask questions. After that I went sprinting down to the foyer (there was a reason why I had to hurry! ;) ) to put our plan in action. Thus ensued some of the lamest running-around I have done since I was 11. All so Sam could say she was disappointed?!

Blah. The things I do for people who spend too much time deliberating on sausages.

After that immensely draining episode, we were weary and sweaty and took the train to City Hall. There was more walking and a lot of contemplating on buying stuff, but in the end we went home empty-handed (quite late) after trying to new Spicy Burgers at KFC.

I don't know how this always happens, but it's happened again. GREAT. I anticipate LOTS of sleep tonight.

And on random sidenotes: 1) I am sick AGAIN, yippee, 2) Man U came in second, 3) I didn't buy anything this weekend, and 4) why is he not no. 10?! I wanna buy the Holland shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to some proper updating. My head hurts so I might only do Thursday tonight.

THURSDAY, a.k.a. "The Past Catches Up"

I wasn't looking forward to Thursday, simply put. I hadn't had enough sleep and another long day was NOT what I had in mind. Oh, and there was FW.

It wasn't as bad as I expected. For one, we had a slightly longer break after OM, so I caught up on some sleep in the library!

Then it was time for FW. It was actually the best FW class so far...considering I spent the full three hours playing 7NK!!!!

Yep. I decided the best time to face my fears of playing the game was in class. Not bad too, I managed to finish two acts. The first one took longer and ended in a humongous stage spotlight crushing one of the characters. The second one took me into "The Anteroom", which is basically a crypt, with coffins lying about. I'm not too clear how it ended, because I was in a desperate hurry to sign out and get the hell out of the lab. Somehow this mask with spikes inside landed up on this guy's face...

Ahem. Anyway.

Did some 10-years-overdue catching up over the pizza dinner. Has it been almost 10 years since we last spoke to each other?! And do I really look the same? I'm quite sure I'm cuter now...

Okay. Now you're throwing up and can join me in the sick bay. I'm kidding. I just found my old photos last night and my opinion is really quite the contrary. :P

The time passed verrrrrrry slowly after that, before we could finally board the chartered bus - the bus with a capacity of 20 people, except the bus driver failed to mention it was 20 people including him.

So I ended up with some seniors in Ms Kwa's car instead. The ride was extraordinarily long due to a three car pile-up on the expressway. Not that I really minded. But apparently I'm supposed to keep quiet about what transpired on the journey, so too bad for you. Mwahaha.

I think we filled like half the screening room at the Arts House. Nice place to sleep. Not that I slept. :P The film was preceded by some short film about a crocodile. Don't know what the point was but I felt quite sorry for the croc.

Singapore GaGa was...interesting. Obviously the whole thing had something to do with sound. And for me at least, it was particularly nostalgic: the sports day scenes at Tampines stadium? I was recalling all the times I was there, from school sports days to 1.6km runs...walking around the perimeter to get to the badminton courts and table tennis tables...taking a slow stroll to the Interchange on my way home. Then there was the tissue-paper-selling outside Simei MRT. I've only been back there once since I moved!

And of course, the recorder segment. Yes, I could never hit the bloody low C. Or whatever it's called. I am obviously not a musical person. I remember in Pri 6 I lost my original recorder, and they didn't have the standard ones in Popular, only these transparent models. I bought the purple transparent one and it garnered waaaaaaaay too much attention. *shudder*

ANYWAY. The film ended around 8.40 p.m. and I walked to the bus stop to take 145, which came immediately.

As you might imagine, I was soooooo tired I had a hard time staying awake that night. Although I don't remember what I was staying up for. Oh well.

I SWEAR I will NEVER EVER do that again.

It's annoying having to place your fate in the irregularity of public transport schedules. Take last Thursday for instance. It would've been all right if I had overslept, but the fact is that I didn't - I got up at exactly the same time and left at exactly the same time...and ended up in school 20 min late!!!

And today? I was done by 11.30 a.m. but the Marina Bay-bound train decided to take 7 min to arrive. (I mean, such exorbitant fares and we still have to wait that long?!) So by the time I got to City Hall, I realised I would never make it back in time. Took a taxi back (arrived just as everyone was moving to the lab) which set me back by...$8.

Great.

So all you people who get chauffeured around and have the cheek to tell others, "If I can be on time then why can't you?"...don't ever blame me for slugging you over the head with my bag.

Oh, but of course today's incident was mostly my fault. :P Me and my brilliant idea to drop by Orchard during our break. I actually had to wait for the stores to open so that wasted some precious time. BUT it paid off 'cos I arrived at Zara just after they brought in their new stock. Mwahahaha. No need to go hunting this weekend. AND I finally bought that Topshop necklace.

That means I'm a bit depleted at the moment. BUT I shall survive! And I shall PAY ATTENTION to tomorrow's calendars & astronomy class! Eh wait...I think we have a test. Darn.

ANYWAY, the only other interesting things that happened today, were:

1) Taking someone's advice and returning main library DVDs in the BizIT bookdrop (I just checked my record and it looks like it worked!)

2) Getting my certificate for French I (Mother: Distinction?! Me: Ehhhh...so mean...very hard to believe meh...)

3) Project briefs! (I find the individual HFTV essay the most interesting. Now if only I had the time...)

4) Drowning my sorrows in lime bacardi after dinner (*ahem* more about that below)

It was a good weekend, although I hadn't planned on only getting my work done on Monday night. :P

Well, actually Friday was pretty terrible. I was broke and everything. But Friday's not technically the weekend. :P

Saturday, on the other hand...wahahaha. My mother and I went to Orchard to find something I could spend the voucher on. Which means I should've went away with one expensive thing from Topshop, but being the highly decisive person I am, I couldn't decide between two tops and got both. Well actually I got three tops, but the third one wasn't in the expensive range. :P Oh, and I finally bought Catherine: The Great Journey! You should've seen my mother's expression when she realised it was from the 8-12 years section. Boo. I started reading the series when I was 11 - obviously not my fault that I've grown older! :P

By some freak chance I met Sam later in the afternoon, whereupon we made our way to Marina Square by the shuttle bus. Was browsing halfway when she suddenly realised who C****** was playing that night, and we made a mad dash to get a haphazard takeaway dinner and arrive in the courtyard of Chijmes.

Which was a bad idea for waaaaaaaaay too many reasons, particularly the BIASED CAMERAMAN WITH A FIXATION ON LUMP!!! I mean, the camera was focusing on him soooooooo much that I was like, "It means he must've scored at least one goal." And it turned out that he hadn't scored at all, so I remarked, "That's like so unfair to those players who scored lah...not that I care about them..."

*growl*

Got home quite late but somehow ended up talking to my mother for a verrrrrrrrrrrrry loooooooooong time on verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry random stuff, like schools and our old houses. By the end I couldn't remember what we were talking about in the first place.

After my bath I watched that Poirot episode, which was terrible and completely different from the book, not to mention I couldn't hear the actors properly...so I fell asleep.

Sunday we had lunch at Great World City, which somehow turned into a shopping trip again - one top and a pair of jeans from Zara. (Yes, the pair of jeans "I will buy sometime in the near future") Only a little sanity prevented me from getting a denim skirt too.

After that we went to look at armchairs somewhere, which happened to be across the road from my uncle's house, so we ended up there for the rest of the afternoon. (Before that we were at the 7eleven downstairs and I pointed out bacardi breezers to my mother...who was strangely enthusiastic...!!!)

Dinner was Pastamania at HarbourFront. My nap after that went into over-time so I only managed to watch Chungking Express before the sun rose and I had to get back to bed.

Monday was a mad scramble because I had to finish reading my book, complete the form, and read more HFTV notes. Of course, that meant I spent half the afternoon napping away. :P Finished my book at 10.30 p.m., took another two hours for the form (you think very easy to fill izzit?), and almost an additional two hours for the notes.

Then bedtime.
