Gah. I've had this NEW POST page open and blank for the past few minutes, and I still haven't found anything to say.

Okay...let's do this slowly. It's Friday, the first Friday I don't have to mug for a Saturday CA. Also the second-last Friday of the term, thank goodness. Hell, what's there to be thankful for? We still have tests next week, and then we'll be handed another stack of holiday homework to die over (if not we have a lot of upcoming tests to study for). PLUS extra classes...

Fine. That's all for the usual school complaints. Back to square one. Great! Do you know how many times in the past hour I have been disconnected from the Internet because my mother doesn't seem to understand that picking up the phone results in me being cut off from viewing a few sites at once?!?! I'm fed up with telling her. She's on the phone again. At this rate, I tell you, I won't ever get to have my nap. Nor will this blog entry be published. With my luck, the computer will probably just hang and all I'm typing now will go POOF.

Another thing about being disconnected. When I get a connection again it is unspeakably slow. Even more time wasted. Wait. Where was I? Oh, yeah, Friday. Willing to bet there is nothing on TV and cable. Kind of defeats the purpose of having so many extra channels, eh? Saturday isn't any better, with the exception of Premiership Saturday on whatever-sports-channel. The nice documentaries come back on Sunday, but by then I can't stay up till 3 a.m. so what's the point? (I think all these TV schedules were created with the average I-have-a-date-over-the-weekend person in mind. Generalisation. Blah.) Now I don't have an excuse for not studying. Maybe after everyone goes to bed I shall try a few more rounds of FIFA 2003. Or that history book?...naaaaaah, I'm close to finishing the season anyway.

So right now I'll just go back to my 2nd bedroom (i.e. the living room) to zzz first before touching any of my work. That eyeball can wait, trust me.

Hey, what's up? Nothing, apparently. I'm just typing this because no one's home so I can hog the computer. Otherwise I'd be bawling my eyes out over my pathetic test results. (Yeah, right)

Anyway, to stay on the topic of all things academic, tomorrow we are having a half day in celebration of our seniors' unexpectedly good 'O' Level results. Did I say 'we'? I mean, 'everyone in school EXCEPT 4A' because Mr Philip is making us stay back for an extra hour to go through our dismal A Math paper. And today Mr Wong decided he'd take another hour to go through our equally dismal Biology CA.

GREAT.

Plus everyone's in a flurry of indecision over whether to drop or combine subjects. I know a few people who want to combine Physics and Chemistry already. I wouldn't mind doing that if I didn't already suck in just about everything else. As it is I still have that prospect of saying farewell to A Math prematurely. Unfortunately though, the dateline for changes is, like, tomorrow, which doesn't exactly leave time for deciding. I can't seem to get anyone to drop the damned subject with me, because everyone still wants to get into the Science stream in JC apparently (well, we are taking triple science!) and this may be out of point but I'm willing to bet most of them have that shockingly narrow-minded, Singapore-brainwashed idea that 'Arts won't get you anywhere'. I can't help scorning that mentality a lot, especially in my USSW for some reason. REASON #1 for Jessica Yeo to get out of Singapore ASAP. It's not so much I'm dying to leave, honestly. Like it's my fault I had to be born in this stupid society.
