Over two hours to kill before I can watch Barcelona (hopefully) thrash C******. :P
I was out for almost 7 hours after the exam today! Went to Orchard, then Parkway, then City Hall, then HarbourFront.
Of course after that I went home to sleep.
The first thing I did when I reached Orchard was to run up to the post office.
The letters were being collected as I entered. DAMN!!! And the queue took quite long so I missed getting my letter sent ASAP. Bleargh.
But thankfully, postage was only $1. I went to paste the stamp on the envelope before realising it wasn't one of the usual sticker types. Went to queue up again to ask for glue. Halfway through I saw this guy standing by the side pasting stamps on his envelopes.
Then I realised those round orange things cashiers use to help them pick up their coins, can actually be used as glue. BLAH.
You learn something new everyday.
After I finally dropped off my letter, it was time to resume shopping.
It was supposed to be an easy trip actually - 4 things on my list, hopefully get at least 3.
Let's see...in the end I decided I didn't need one, the other one was out of my size, another one wasn't in stock, and the fourth could wait.
Brilliant. Just like me.
So I ended up getting other stuff in Parkway in the end. Oh well.

Sigh.
In this day and age, you just have to wonder why airmail still takes at least a week to arrive. And let's not even get started on surface mail.
Oh, and why the heck do I have to pay commission for postal orders? Like hello? All you do is issue a stupid piece of paper!!!
My money is slowly sapping away with all these hidden costs...still have postage to worry about.
Shall send on Wednesday after econs.
Hmm. Imagine. By the time it arrives I'll probably be on my way to Dubai...
And who knows how long more it'll take after that.

And how on earth could I forget my original reason for blogging yesterday.
I caught Saiyuki Reload again!!!
After missing it last Sunday 'cos I was too busy taking pictures of the ship.
ANYWAY. Why the hell is it in Chinese?! It should be in Japanese! With subtitles!
I don't like Hakkai's Chinese voice. Although that could be because his Japanese and English voices are sooooooooooo good.
And I hate having to strain my ears to figure out what they're talking about. Which is mainly just scolding each other "stupid", when you come to think of it.
But still not the point.
Yesterday's episode had very little Hakkai in it, considering he was "dead" for three-quarters of the show. The story's gonna continue next week, and you know what's gonna happen?
You know what's gonna happen?!
Hakkai removes his demon limiters again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
*has no idea why this is so thrilling*
*runs off*

So on a routine email check at the SP website, I decided to drop by the SB section just for fun.
*scrolls down and views titles of links to articles*
"Year-one Diploma in Media and Communication (DMC) students Jessica Yeo..."
Eh look, someone with the same name as me. Interesting...
waitwaitwaitwait WAIT...
OMG! That is me!!!
*checks title of article*
Ohhhhhhhh...Storyfest.
Heh. Looks like my article didn't suck as much as I thought it did.
...Well, actually. I think it still did. I can only recognise the first paragraph as mine. Even then whoever edited it changed it quite a bit.
I mean, heck, it was supposed to rhyme. :P
Okay, some of the outdoor pics were mine. One quote was definitely from my interviews. I can recognise a few phrases here and there, but either they've been heavily edited or it was someone else's in the first place.
Ah well. Whatever.

Left school at 8 p.m.
Gah. I cannot hold a conversation in French to save my life.
As I told Sam, we had to find partners for our oral.
Of course, there was an odd number of students today so I didn't have a partner.
And therefore had to wait till past 7.30 p.m. before I could get tested with the last pair.
With three people I was basically this extra person interrupting the conversation. I think I asked a grand total of two questions. And I was having a superbly hard time catching what the two guys were asking. Don't know how many times they had to repeat, "Do you watch soccer?" before I got what they were saying.
I'm surprised I actually did well on the oral. I think I did well anyway. The lecturer wrote down our marks right in front of us after that. I didn't manage to see my marks but I heard I got at least 91 for the test and oral.
Not bad.
Then of course the lecturer had to go ask us if we were attending next year. I was the only one who said I wasn't sure.
And I was already being nice. I could've just said no.
So as we were leaving the lecturer was like, "Why don't you want to attend next year? You're good."
Ehhhhhhhhhh...don't make me change my mind! :P
Gee. My mother is having such a fun time on her cruise that she hasn't called.
BOO.
She left on Sunday and I specifically rushed all the way home from my shopping trip (which turned into a window-shopping trip 'cos I couldn't find anything!) so I could see the ship leaving and wave and take pictures.
Yes, I know I'm lame.
And yes, my house gives a clear view of cruise ships coming and leaving.
Anyway, since she left I can't remember when I last saw my sister, 'cos when I'm napping she returns and by the time I wake up, she's asleep. Then when I finally sleep again and wake up, she's gone to work.
Haha.
Oooookay, off to study USOL. Why do I have to study so much for a less-than-15min test?
Never mind. Shopping spree after that!!!
Lalalala.
What? :P

I can't be bothered to tell you how much better my Friday was, except that I got my pencil back. That's the only important thing for now anyway.
ANYWAY, I was in a particularly murderous mood yesterday (Monday).
I mean, practically the first thing I did when I woke up was to massacre this army of ants that had found their way to the dustbin overnight.
I left for school with the whole house smelling of Baygon.
After hurrying all the way to SB, what do I find out? The tutorial was actually scheduled half an hour later.
ARGH!!!
Then of course I received the wonderful news that we had to stay behind after NW to work on - what else? - WP.
The evils of Dreamweaver. How ironic. Dreamweaver.
I spent the rest of the afternoon being pretty irritated with myself. For not doing something I should have done.
I should have continued with the murdering. *cough*
Back to NW. *smiles sweetly*
As usual it took me ages to actually get started on the story, and for most of it I didn't think it would ever reach 450 words. But also as usual, when it did reach 450, I couldn't stop writing and had to pull off some stupid ending again.
Then it was 2 hours of working on WP!
Like I haven't spent enough time on it over the weekend!
Whee!
And I didn't have lunch!
And I hadn't started studying for Tuesday's French oral and Wednesday's USOL test!
Hurray!
*rolls eyes*

I blog again.
Thursday (the day of my last post) was depressing.
It started off depressing in the morning, when I woke up after dreaming about
1) Playing The Sims and having my Sims all quarrel and beat each other up, and
2) Me being attacked by giant flying currypuffs (don't ask).
Actually when you come to think of it, don't I always provoke my Sims to quarrel and beat each other up?
Never mind.
ANYWAY.
There were a few other things I was pretty bummed out about too, especially coming to terms with the loss of my pencil. And not having enough sleep. And wasting almost 2 hours in the library because the stupid computer hung.
DVPA made me even more depressed since
1) We were this close to wrapping everything up but the DMS just has to close at 5 p.m. no matter what...even if everyone is losing their minds trying to meet deadlines, and
2) Everyone kept giving me weird glances when I enquired about my pencil. I mean, what's so weird about me asking if they've seen a purple pencil?!
Yeah................and things didn't exactly get better with the latest Dubai cheque. BLAH. Not my fault they only posted the thing up like one day before! And I get yelled at because of that. SHEESH.
Then it was THE interview.
Can't say I was already in the best of moods whilst walking to the classroom. Then I get there and it seems I'm "late" 'cos the interviews were over faster than expected.
Still, I was the next one to go into that room. Like someone said, it IS like retaking my "O" Level oral. Except for the extra person across the table. And the lack of a passage to read from.
But that's also besides the point.
I think I was mumbling throughout the interview actually. And the interviewers' favourite questions seemed to be: "Do you think joining this program will jeopardise your chances of getting into university? Why do you want to join this program knowing that it could potentially jeopardise your chances of getting into university?"
So you mean everyone who joins the program is jeopardising their chances of getting into university. Okay. *nods head slowly and wisely*
Then I left for home.
And a better Friday.
A...much...better...Friday..............................

I finally managed to sleep this afternoon. I mean proper sleep. I've been sleeping less than 3 hours since Sunday night for goodness' sake, thanks to my block's frequent blackouts, my computer's more frequent stallings...and IDEA.
Like why the hell do I have to spend 10s of hours on a stupid module that's only worth 2 credit points?!
Anyway it's over and done with and the presentation was actually pretty good (except the whole umbrella weight thing) so we all treated ourselves to pizza after that.
When I could finally study for my French test after the pizza (the test was due to start in less than 3 hours, with a 1-hour lecture in between), I nearly fell asleep. I was sooooooooo bloody tired that, during the test, I dozed off after reading each sentence!
Oh, and it didn't help that some idiot took my pencil. Bloody hell, I accidentally left it in one of the editing suites and it was gone by 4 p.m. - and only two or three classes were in there in that time frame!
#$%^&
And back to my test, when it was over I couldn't even take a proper nap because of the tutorials I had to do for today. And since I wasn't sure if the USOL test was today or next Wednesday, I had to study for it too.
When I got up this morning the last thing I wanted was to be faced with two hours of econs. Like next week's three-hour lecture isn't enough. So, seeing that I was slightly late and even when I'm early I always find myself dashing up three flights of stairs to class...I decided to go back to sleep.
Woke up slightly less than two hours later and went to school. Got into the elevator at the first floor...the doors were about to close when some of my classmates entered. I was pretty surprised since econs NEVER ends so early. Then when they started complaining to each other...
...I realised the tutorial had been cancelled!!!
Now, seriously that was the only good thing that happened this week...
Because, after studying USOL through my IPRA break and the 1-hour break after that...I went to class (which was like half empty) to find that the test is next week.
Class ended after 50min though so I went home to sleep.
I slept for a full 5 hours like I expected.
Two more days of school. More voice recordings for our video tomorrow. Then the specialist diploma interview after that.
Compiling (censored) WP website on Friday. Haven't even started on the damn thing and I don't think I can till maybe 2 a.m. at the earliest. See? More sleepless nights.
Remind me to get a laptop once certain people pay me. I have had ENOUGH of my constantly lagging, constantly hanging, incompatible-with-every-program and missing PowerPoint, computer!
Oh yes. One last thing. What's the point of a study week next week if I have to go back to school nearly everyday?
Econs make-up tutorial and News Writing final CA directly after that on Monday.
French oral on Tuesday.
USOL final CA and a meeting on Wednesday.
IVP argumentative essay CA on Friday, which I think clashes with the 3-hour econs lecture.
Those are the only the things I can remember, by the way.
And now I shall end off this clearly annoyed post by mentioning that I finally sent in my Storyfest article on Friday. Was soooooooo relieved my Attitude work for the month was over and done with, I tell you.
Less than half an hour later I received my next assignment.
Seeing that this is officially the last week of the school year, it means I have to get all 7-8 interviews done by Friday.
Didn't have time on Tuesday (duh) but so far I've managed 5. Need 2 or 3 more. I would already have finished if the first two girls I asked had given me an answer. :P
Blah.
