Someone tried to kill me on Friday night, because when I woke up on Saturday, there was blood all over my pillow.
Or maybe the dentist just poked at my gums too hard.
Anyway, I will be paying the dentist a big visit on Tuesday, so I can't go and wreak havoc at YQ's new house. Soon though.
Eh. My first week at school was very bleh. Nothing spectacular happened. I was late on Monday though, and was in a very bad mood because of it. We watched Minority Report for our New Communications Technologies class.
Oh yeah, they FINALLY built elevators to the sixth floor of T22. Why did it take them so bloody long?! And when's it gonna be ready anyway, since most of our classes are there this term???
*cough*
Tuesday was like a weekend. I almost thought it was Saturday, but we had Professional Preparation the next day. :P The PP notes are quite interesting; they tell you what hairstyles and spectacles suit your face shape, and what clothes to wear for your body type and height and weight.
Thursday was our longest day and even though I've had waaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer days in the past semesters, this one sure felt extraordinarily long. We finished Minority Report whilst sitting on the floor of the DMS (don't know what happened to all those uncomfortable chairs).
Oh and speaking of NCT, as part of our module we're supposed to sign up for Facebook. Which is very amusing because now you have the whole course adding each other to their friends list. And the Traveler IQ Challenge is addictive. I could play it all day but I have to finish my book. Plus I have two class discussions to prepare, one of which is due on Thursday.
And as for my Friday, it was pretty fun. I mean the after school part duh. I met my mother at Orchard and we walked around the usual places, then wandered about FEP and had dinner at Han's.

SHS - the other side of the story :P
I've been too lazy to go out lately, especially ever since the whole lizard incident.
What conspired was that, last tuesday night, I was like 10 min away from switching Lenny and the TV off and going to sleep. Then I happened to bend forward and turn my head to the left....and I saw a GIANT lizard happily scuttling about on the ceiling outside the kitchen.
Well, to cut a long story short, the lizard escaped and I only just managed to set out one of the insanely sticky traps before barricading (as in covering the crack at the bottom of the door) myself in my room.
I had planned to go out on Wednesday but in the end, thanks to the BIG FAT lizard, I was stuck in my room all day. I think I only ventured out to rescue my sandwich from the fridge.
Anyway, later that night I left the room to drink water, and as I was heading back in...I realised the lizard trap was on the other side of the living room from where I left it. The light was very dim....................but there seemed to be some lumpy thing at one side of it.........................
To cut another long story short, it was a lizard - not necessarily THE lizard - so the house was rid of at least one lizard and I could go to SHS the next day.
Now, about the SHS visit. I wasn't going to blog about it since it took place more than half a week ago, but I think it deserves the Rashomon treatment. :P
Firstly, if I had to give a name to the visit, it would probably be No Thanks To Sam!.
I can't be bothered to list every No Thanks to Sam! incident down, so here are a selected few:
Firstly, No Thanks to Sam!, I got interrupted while brushing my teeth in the morning by her phone call. (Don't ask me why my phone was in my pocket while I was brushing my teeth.) Anyway, her phone call was to wake me up, which is no big deal until you consider how ironic it is that she was the one who made me wait for her for over 1.5 hours when she was supposed to meet me at SP that time, because she hadn't woken up. :p
So, since I live so far away, I left early. We were supposed to meet at 10.30 a.m. at Tampines Interchange, but No Thanks To Sam! I waited more than half an hour for her to arrive. And I actually arrived pretty early so it was more than 45 minutes of waiting, but luckily I had a mushroom bun to keep me company. :P
When we finally reached SHS and had been wandering aimlessly around for some time (since there didn't seem to be anyone in the Mis Management *cough* Middle Management room, and I still fear the Staff Room Intercom - even though they changed it), some new teacher saw us standing uncertainly in front of the staff room door and asked us who were were looking for, Sam asked for her favourite teacher - who just happened to be in the staff room.
Yippee. So, since I afterall hadn't asked for her, I took the chance to get as far away from the staff room as possible. Sam followed, so by the time her favourite teacher walked out of the room, we were like halfway down the corridor already. Hahahaha.
And if you're wondering why Sam's favourite teacher supposedly "immediately recognised" me and not Sam, that's because No Thanks To Sam!, she pushed me forward at the very last minute (and hid behind me) to make it seem like I was the one who had asked for her. *rolls eyes*
As Sam said, our conversation wasn't very long because her favourite teacher had a cold. Oh, and No Thanks To Sam!, a chunk of the conversation was spent on Sam bragging and flashing her licence about. :P
Yeah, and then Sam saw Mdm Wong and that led to a looooooooooooooooong (over 2 hours?) chat in the MM room. One interesting thing we found out during the conversation was that 4A IS NOW THE NORMAL TECHNICAL CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While I think the change was a good idea, I highly doubt I would've appreciated it three years ago. I wouldn't like to be in 4E. I don't like the letter "E". And anyway I wouldn't have been in 4E because I wouldn't have taken triple science because they now have pure humanities which they should have had three years ago and I will continue grumbling about this till the end of time. :P
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, we were talking and talking and talking and suddenly someone walked past and Sam was trying to hiss something at me and when I finally heard what she was trying to say ("Lee Kim Seng!")...Mdm Wong heard it too. So, No Thanks To Sam! and Mdm Wong ignoring my "Noooooooo...I'm scared of hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim!!!", Mdm Wong got up and got him to come talk to us.
Eeek. He may be the nice school counsellor now, but I'm not in SHS now so he'll always be the school's scary discipline master and my even scarier Physics teacher. :P

Well, I have nothing to say since I haven't gotten last Wednesday's pics yet. Blah.
Anyway, I stayed at home again today! I was supposed to finish reading The Roman Empire: A Very Short Introduction (two-thirds done), but I ended up playing The Sims the whole afternoon. :P
To cut a long story short, look what I downloaded!!!
Gee..I wonder who they are?
And other variations!
I downloaded those for fun. It's not very...practical. Haha. But I did get some more "normal" clothes:
(That tee is way too tight...)
And then I found my favouritest.....................................
Couldn't help it. :P

Journal Journeys: Europe is done - all 20 posts PLUS formatting - and you can find the link on the right.
I just spent one week staying up till 6 a.m. everyday working on it, so you better give some positive comments. :P As I've noticed, nobody has ever left a comment on any Journal Journey before. (In case you can't find the comment area, it's right at the bottom of the introductory post.)
I'm not particularly sure why I bothered wasting one week of my life like that, but heck, it's done and I can FINALLY start my reading. I have 3 weeks left and at least 5 books to read (and a whole list to buy), so I must start now.
As for my internship, I'm having a freaking hard time getting hold of the internship participation form because I only know one person who has it and he's not in Singapore at the moment. Think I'll just have to pester Mr Ang again.
In other school news, I received a letter and email from the Language department:
Dear Students
Our records show that you have completed the 60-hour French Language I module.
Therefore, we would like to invite you to join the following:
Module Name : French Conversation and Culture
Duration : 30-hours
Synopsis : Students who have knowledge of basic French will have an opportunity to practise the language through conversation topics related to French culture and practices. Conducted in simple French, activities include watching and talking about French movies, fashion, sports andentertainment celebrities, places of interest in France, singing French songs and learning how to prepare a French meal.
When : Wednesdays, 5.30 - 7.30 pm starting 3 October 07
Fee : $220 + Materials +GST
Gee. It sounds fun! ...Well, other than "singing French songs".
But the problem is, I can't attend because it's a semester-long course and I'll be on internship for the second half of the semester onwards!
BAH. Why didn't they have this last year??
Oh right. Then I would still have turned it down because of spec dip.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmph.
Well anyway, next semester (if I even make it to the next semester) will be my very first "barebones" semester. Meaning that for the first time, I don't have to stay back for French classes (Year 1) or spec dip classes (Year 2 and the first sem of Year 3). I FINALLY get to go home the same time normal, sane people go home.
Pity it's only 6 weeks.
