Jessica, most unfortunately, is back.
Back to clear all her email. If it's not about the HSS (funnily enough, I missed the follow-up presentation too), then it's about my internship.
This internship stuff is driving me nuts! I'm sick of filling forms already. Internship preferences, contact details, applications...GAH.
Actually I'm sick of a lot of things. All I want to do is sleep.
I can't seem to get enough sleep.

If I knew the rehearsal was going to last that long...
Anyway, the big HSS presentation is tomorrow and obviously I can't make it. So I'm not particularly sure why I was required at the rehearsal. It's supposed to be the holidays! I'm supposed to be far FAR away from SP!
Managed to rush off slightly past 4 p.m. Might've been there till 6 for all I know. And I couldn't afford that since I had barely started packing. :P Plus I have a couple of important emails to send out.
And I only have 2 more hours to spare, so I better get started on those emails. :P
To end off:
Yeah, the Sim couple didn't get a chance to sleep all night!

The Truth. And nothing but the truth. About
I really was going to blog last night. But due to too many complications in our mock webpage (one whole afternoon in school wasted - not to mention everywhere was closed so I couldn't get my cup noodle fix!), we gave up on Dreamweaver and Microsoft FrontPage.......and went back to good old PowerPoint.
As it so happens, after years and years of experimenting with the program, I *snigger*snigger* managed to come up with a pretty good fake webpage, if I do say so myself. :P Seriously! You should see how I simulated a rollover pop-up menu. We would never have figured out how to do that in Dreamweaver and FrontPage.
But anyway, I was so engrossed in making the best fake webpage I could manage, that I didn't have time to blog. I only extended my bedtime to play a bit of Sims. So nice to see the little kiddies growing up. Oh, and have you heard about my dog cross-breeding exploits? Behold the cutest cross-breed ever, the Chowsky!!! (That's Chow Chow + Husky)

I have tons more pics but can't be bothered to upload them all.
ANYWAY, where was I? Ah yes, my last CA.
Got to school at 9 a.m. even though our presentation was scheduled to start at 10.15 a.m. Did a dry run in the library before I fell asleep briefly. Then we go up to leave, where I couldn't help remarking evilly (because there were people around us who were mugging), "Just 15 min and we're on holiday!"
There were delays with the previous group though, so we didn't start till nearly 11 a.m. Because I was (obviously) the only one who was very familiar with the "webpage" navigation, I got to be the clicker.
After the Q&A, we were told that we could leave. The other members started cheering loudly as they exited the room...
...very kindly leaving me to close the .ppt file, eject my thumbdrive, and hurry out after them. Nice.
Once back in the lounge area, I (jokingly) suggested (as I've been suggesting after the last few CAs) that we go to Sentosa.
Which brings me to the whole Sunny Sentosa Holiday thing.
As I've said earlier, I am NOT going on a Sentosa holiday. Not even a day trip. Well, maybe a day trip - if I suddenly feel a huge urge to get my big stuffed Merlion.
HOWEVER, even before I went around announcing "I'm going on a Sunny Sentosa Holiday!!!!!!" over a month ago.................I actually already knew I was going on a holiday.
Just not to Sentosa obviously. Because I like making big announcements at the very last minute. In case you haven't noticed.
This is especially last-minute since I wanted to get all my work out of the way first.
I'm leaving tomorrow.
Mwhahahahaha.
Right. Where to.
I said, "I want to go to Spain! I want to go to Granada and see the Alhambra! And I want to go to Italy! I want to go to Rome and Veniiiiiiiiiiiice!!!"
Which must explain why we're going to Barcelona and Milan. :P
Okay fine. Not only those two places. Basically 4 days in Barcelona, 1 day in London, 4 days in Prague, and 1 day in Milan.
I haven't been to London in 9 years. And I'm not going there this time because it was part of the original itinerary - unfortunately (or fortunately) there are no flights from Barcelona to Prague.
Oh well. I did say I wouldn't mind another day in London. I have already reserved it specifically to drop by the British Museum, so I don't know how much time I will have to do anything else there. Which is quite sad because I want to visit the giant Topshop. (Speaking of which, they increased their prices after the GST hike! Before that I bought a nice little top at $23...and the same one now costs $36! Seriously!)
ANYWAY. I'll be leaving tomorrow at nearly midnight. I just bought leggings especially for the trip - well, mostly for the flight. Because annoying first-class rules state that blue jeans are not allowed. It is a rule that has always disturbed me.
I'll be back on the 26th though, and then I'll spend a few sleepless nights uploading my new Journal Journeys.
Any special souvenir requests? 'Cos if you don't request then I'm not buying anything for you. MWAHAHAHA. Just kidding.

And here I am, my first post in 2 weeks.
I could've posted earlier but I didn't see why anyone would want to hear about my "last" week at school (technically the last week of the semester, excluding study week and the exam fortnight).
I mean, it was an uneventful week. I spent 8 straight nights stuck on my laptop, and I think, for those 5 school days, I must've had like 6 hours of sleep in total. It didn't help that at the start of the 8 nights (the previous Friday, when I met Sam in Orchard) I fell sick and spent the whole weekend with a cold - and obviously couldn't recover properly 'cos I could not afford to take time off and sleep.
I think I also missed both Tuesday and Wednesday's classes. And I didn't sleep on a at least two nights, one of which was Thursday. So by 4 p.m. on Friday I was struggling not to just fall down a flight of stairs or onto the MRT tracks or into the path of a speeding car.
And I actually had to stay back after that, for something which was purely my fault. (I had to make a postponed presentation at 9 a.m. but didn't finish my stupid essay till well past 11)
And I also had to spend a bomb on taxi fares (not because I couldn't wake up on time - I didn't even sleep!!! - but because I couldn't finish my work on time) so I was pretty darn broke by Friday.
Oh but of course I didn't go home straight after that. I had a shopping spree at Topshop (me lovesssssssss final-final sales - and I got a purple bikini!!! Like I'll ever wear it, but still!!!) and had dinner and went back.
And then I died.
Seriously. I was dead for something like 14 hours.
Anyway, on Saturday I was dead for quite a long time too, but on Sunday I had to wake up and meet the rest of the group to prepare for our mock news conference.
The news conference wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, although I was sitting on a table facing the conference room and getting everyone to do breathing exercises right before we had to enter.
I must admit our very first class practice was a blessing in disguise because (as everyone will know by now) I lost my temper and started shouting at Dong and that automatically ruled me out of playing the CEO's role.
So if you're not the CEO, chances are you'll only be asked one question during the whole blinking thing. Not that I think I answered mine very well - I was trying to craft an answer from statements in three separate pieces of paper in front of me - but what the heck.
After that I went crazy.
Was tempted to just slack the whole week away, but unfortunately we have our last big presentation on Monday, soooooo too bad. Back to work on Wednesday.
Oh and that reminds me. I was so tired after that sleepless week that I took my time to start reading HP7 - I had originally planned to start on Saturday.
Finished it last night, which was surprisingly quick; less than 4 days. Would've been even less if I didn't have to bother about Monday's presentation.
I actually couldn't put the book down. I haven't been this engrossed in a HP book since HP1 and HP2, and the Department of Mysteries battle in HP5. I've never liked HP3 and 4, and HP6 (I have now realised) didn't leave much of an impression on me. Which goes to show how much I didn't care about Dumbledore...
Oh yes, it was gooooooood. Possibly better than my favourite (HP2). It was so funny and so sad and there seemed to be a high-action scene in every chapter. And I have a lot more to say but I'll be spoiling. :P
One thing though, about the surviving 7th years - it was kind of disturbing that it was never mentioned if they went back and spent a normal year doing their NEWTs. Seemed a bit...wrong...that they didn't get to leave Hogwarts properly.
Anyway, I've been so busy sleeping and reading HP7 and doing project work this week that I haven't watched TV in more than 2 weeks (minus the NDP, which I almost didn't watch because I was so grouchy on Thursday). In fact I missed Tuesday's Supernatural so I'm watching it now.
However, this episode is creepy. I mean the show is supposed to be creepy, but it mostly isn't and some episodes are even lame. This one is just super-super creepy! Like the creepiest so far!
But it was funny at the start. Sam and Dean checked into an old house-motel and the owner asked them if they wanted a double bed, so Dean was all like, "No! NO! We're not - not - we're BROTHERS!!!" And later they wanted to get into a room containing lots of antique dolls (antique dolls already = creepy in the first place) so Dean lied to the owner that Sam had a big obsession with dolls and that he's likes dressing them in tiny cute clothes. And Sam had to agree grudgingly. HAHAHA.
In other news, I finally gave the Donut Factory a try, despite the fact that the name "Donut Factory" is disturbing because people DO NOT understand that "doughnut" is also correct and is in fact more widely used outside the US. So they keep pointing out that I am spelling it wrong. The last time I checked, Singapore wasn't part of the US...so please kindly SHUT UP, people. There. I said it politely. :P
But back to the doughnuts. I queued for one hour with nothing to do (was sorely regretting not 1. charging my phone so I could listen to music, and 2. bringing HP7 along). Initially I thought I'd just get half a dozen, but after getting to the front of the queue I decided that 6 measly doughnuts didn't justify one hour of my life wasted, so I got 12 different flavours. (Not that I believe 12 doughtnuts justifed that one hour, but my stomach felt happier at least.)
And my 6 favourites are (in no particular order):
- Strawberry white chocolate
- Spicy cheese
- Peanut butter glazed
- Raspberry dark chocolate
- Apple cinnamon (and I don't even like cinnamon)
- Double chocolate (strangely enough it wasn't as sweet as Orange white chocolate, which was almost unbearable - and I like orange chocolate!)
For some reason I seem to prefer the holeless ones. Hmm.
That's all I can be bothered to type for this post. I had to get this particular post out of the way 'cos I have an important post tomorrow. IMPORTANT.
