*There's a new post below this one, in case you didn't know*
Well, now that you've read all about my lovely little weekend...
I have something to announce.
*hobble*hobble*
I SPRAINED MY ANKLE TODAY!!!
Some very insane part of me (must be the lack of sleep) actually finds this very exciting. I've never sprained my ankle before. Well, I did sprain it slightly some years ago, but it was so slight that I never told anyone.
Anyway, how on earth did this happen?
It was like any normal I-wish-I-wasn't-here day at school. I didn't have enough sleep and no matter how fast I hurried, I was still 5-10 minutes late for WFM. Nearly fell asleep during the lecture, but perked up near the end when we were working on our radio ad.
FC6 was crazily crowded, as per every Tuesday. Switched two queues before settling on macaroni & cheese, potato wedges and fried chicken.
Nearly fell asleep during the ICM lecture too, although that was from lack of sleep and not because the lecture was boring. This guy from Microsoft came to talk about marketing. I suddenly want an Xbox 360. Hmm.
After ICM I had 3 hours to kill before our CA for WFM. I had spent the whole day complaining because I'd planned to watch Pirates today, but I couldn't because the CA ends at 7 p.m. and I still have school the next day. I could watch on Wednesday, but because Thursday is a public holiday, Wednesday evening shows are $9.50. BAH.
I was hoping to get some free time though, but no such luck because we had to edit our spec dip CA2 video. They'd already started yesterday so I was a bit lost (and anyway I'm pretty darn hopeless with Final Cut Pro), but it was DAMN EMBARRASSING seeing myself on the screen.
And I had more "Chee Kok" bloopers than I'd thought!
ANYWAY, the others were at Tuesday's MIA class so it was only Arisya, Dione and I. After watching them edit for some time, they decided to go and have something to eat whilst the edited parts were left to render. The rendering would take 19 minutes, so I volunteered (hardly a sacrifice) to stay in the room and nap in front of the computer.
Some time later, I got a call from them to open the back door leading to the editing suites. I got up and went out the door......and realised my left leg had gone numb.
Which is very common, especially after lectures. So I just hobbled along the corridor, where Arisya and Dione were standing on the other side of the glass door.
Gee. Taking a bit long.
*hobbles faster*
And then, in a split second I tripped and my stupid left foot bent inwards.
I just managed to hobble to the door and press the button. Then I had to stay in the corridor for some time, testing my foot gingerly and hoping it wasn't a sprain.
It didn't take long for my hopes to be dashed.
My first thought: I WANNA GO HOME NOW! BUT I HAVE A STUPID CA LATER!
My second thought: OH NOOOOOO!!!!!!! I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO SHOPPING TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then it started hurting so much that I stopped thinking completely.
Spent the rest of the editing session sitting quietly and keeping my foot in the same position.
But eventually I had to hobble out and limp up the stairs to the lecture theatre. Thankfully 04 always sits near the back, so I chose a seat in the back row and didn't need to hobble down the stairs.
Couldn't concentrate on the press release as much as I would've liked, because halfway through the pain returned.
Managed to finish (barely) and hobbled all the way to the bus stop. Wanted to take the elevator up to the second level, but the stupid thing was spoilt. That didn't prevent the voice in the elevator from thanking us brightly.
"NO THANK YOU!!!!" I shouted at the elevator. Then I hobbled to the escalator and walked through the MRT station to the bus stop across the road.
Couldn't risk taking 166 and hobbling about in the neighbourhood in the dark (especially since the whole walk is uphill) so I took a taxi (even if I took the MRT I'd have to somehow climb this long steep flight of stairs!). The taxi stand was annoyingly far away but I got a taxi almost immediately.
The ride cost $9.10!!!!!!!! It was only the third time I'd taken a taxi home from school. The previous two times I hadn't been well.
This time I hobbled along the void deck and took the elevator up, then hobbled up the steps and entered the house.
After my bath I could FINALLY prop my foot up. Wanted to nap but oh well.
Back to work.

My Weekend, by Jessica Yeo
Despite sleeping before 2 a.m., I actually woke up very late on Saturday morning. Oh well. I deserved the sleep. :P
Didn't do much the whole day, other than reading my book and napping.
Finally got up and went to Vivo for dinner.
For the first time since my birthday, we ate at Brotzeit again!!!
This time I had a long sausage covered with chili sauce and curry powder. Oh, and beer of course. :P
After that I dragged my father to PageOne, where they're currently having a 20% discount + 5% for DBS cardmembers on English books.
Originally wanted to buy The Ancient Orient: An Introduction to the Study of the Ancient Near East but found this really comprehensive-looking new book, Egypt, Greece and Rome: Civilizations of the Ancient Mediterranean. *I bet those are the two most boring book titles you've ever heard*
So I got him to buy both for me. They cost $70 altogether!!! That's because the original price of the second book was $62-something. And it costs so much because it's actually also used as an undergraduate text. *suffering textbook withdrawal after not having a proper textbook since secondary schook*
Anyway after that I went home (we left at nearly 10 p.m.) to return to my work (sigh).
Woke up late on Sunday too. Walked into the kitchen and found that my mother had prepared all the ingredients for my soup.
*I was a bit bored with life the other day and decided to cook something, so I went to dig out my old Sec 1 Home Econs book.*
My chosen recipe was something easy:
I wanted to dice everything myself but my mother did it so too bad. Anyway I was supposed to prepare like five times the intended amount of ingredients.
The fun part was putting the cooking oil in the pot and then frying the onions till light brown. Then I had to do the same to the chicken pieces. During this time my mother came in and nagged about dirtying the kitchen with all that oil splashing around.
And people wonder why I don't cook.
Anyway, the boring part was throwing the rest of the ingredients - celery (eew), carrots, mushrooms and potatoes - in, adding the water, and waiting for the whole big thing to boil.
I could've fallen asleep.
IT TASTED A LOT BETTER THAN IT LOOKED!!! However, when you compare the pic with the one in the book, it is obvious something went wrong.
I added dark sauce instead of light sauce.
Didn't see the stupid big tumbler of light sauce and just used the only bottle labelled "soya sauce" - it didn't even state that it was DARK sauce, just stupid soya sauce. :P :P :P
Because of that blunder I couldn't add chillies like I wanted to, in case someone ended up with a mouthful (since you can't really see them in the soup) and ended up killing me.
But I added lots of pepper. My mother said it wasn't enough. HMMMMPH.
ANYWAY, after my little cooking session I had a few hours to while away before going to Vivo to get McDonald's takeaway.
Turns out that while I was sleeping my mother asked me if I wanted noodles, and I agreed.
ARGH. She should know by now that when I'm half-conscious, I'm as good as unconscious. Because I don't remember any conversations that take place! :P
So I didn't go to Vivo in the end.
That Vivo trip had to wait till Monday after school. First I had to survive through another spec dip consultation, another ICM discussion (which was quite entertaining), and another CIBM discussion (I wasn't particularly helpful).
Spent such a long time at Vivo that I think my mother thought I'd never get home. Hahaha. Bought a very very very nice (ruffly) white blouse at 30% off, but somehow managed not to spend anymore money.

I didn't really want to turn up for filming on Tuesday, owing to how horrible I felt on Monday night.
But after oversleeping on Tuesday morning, I decided that I was significantly better, and got up. I was too late to meet the others at 10 a.m. at Eunos station, so I went to Parkway instead.
I arrived nearly an hour late, but they were having breakfast and I'd already had mine.
I don't think I've been to Parkway Parade since my IVP days. (Sniff. I miss being released at 10 or 11 a.m. on Fridays...)
ANYWAY. I didn't pay much attention to the discussion on which of our storyboards to use, mainly because I didn't have a copy of my storyboard. Oh, and my storyboard suddenly seemed very pathetic.
But I was more distracted because halfway through, Mr Ang called and announced that our group's TRCIF logo got selected by the organisation.
15 minutes of work. Such a classic.
Anyway I like the logo. :P
After that we took taxis to Dione's house and spent half the afternoon figuring out how to execute the first shot, which required zooming out and dollying in an arc at the same time.
I was the test subject for the shot, meaning I sat at the table eating while everyone fumbled with the camera. Hahaha.
After sitting there and eating for some time, my group suddenly decided that I looked more like "June Lee" and should play her. I didn't mind because it meant I could sit and eat some more...
At 4.30 p.m. we hadn't even started filming yet, and were all falling asleep as we reviewed our storyboard in the living room.
But finally everyone was ready and I took my place at the dining table, in between Dione's mother and father.
The scene - and script - was almost the exact copy of the one in American Beauty, where the family is eating and the girl complains about the music, the mother tells her off, then the father asks the girl about school and then goes rambling about his day at work and no one listens to him.
It was fun at first, sitting there eating spaghetti and drinking red wine by candlelight.
Until we got to the part of the script where the father mentions his office just hired some guy to review everyone's performance (or something like that, forgot what's his exact job title).
In the movie the guy's name is "Brad", but Mr Loh had to go change it to "Chee Kok".
So everytime Dione's father said, "My company just hired this Chee Kok guy", I started laughing like no one's business.
I think everyone got irritated with me after a while. Hahaha. But really. Chee Kok.
Anyway, we shot the whole thing out of sequence, which meant my wine glass had to constantly be refilled. I have no idea how much red wine I drank, but it was a lot. And no, I didn't get the slightest bit tipsy.
We finished filming after 7 p.m. and left the house past 8 p.m. after clearing the place. The others wanted to go to Bedok for dinner but I couldn't be bothered to travel any further. Plus I was the one who had been eating and drinking all evening! So I took 10 back to HarbourFront.
As expected, I was too tired after Monday and Tuesday to want to call an ICMT group meeting on Wednesday, so I just suggested we meet on MSN on Thursday night. I can't even remember what I did on Wednesday. Probably stayed at home and rotted. But I remember spending the whole night up doing ICMT research.
On Thursday I had to wake up early again. Arrived in school about 5-10 minutes late for our Haemophilia Society project meeting. I was the second one to arrive and the others took so long. :P We discussed the HSS's SWOT and finished more than an hour before the DMC course review was due to start.
So we had lunch at FC6 as usual. After which we were still early, so we went to the library. I wanted to do some e-learning work, but I forgot to bring my admin card and the free access computers were all full. So Sufern found some SAT book on some shelf and we spent the rest of the time doing the mock papers. The questions were SO FUN. How come Singapore exam papers are so damn boring???
At 1.35 p.m. we headed up to the room. There was nothing to do until we were led to the school's meeting room, which is this long room with a looooong oval table. All 13 of us current students, plus some graduates, plus some people from SP and some industry people, sat around the table.
For an hour or so, we went round the table talking. Us current students had to introduce ourselves and talk about why we chose the course and what we plan to do later; the graduates had to talk about how the course has helped them so far, then we had to talk about what we liked about the course (funnily enough, at that moment my mind drew a complete blank) and what could be improved (almost everyone complained about the lack of electives).
Then we adjourned to a nearby classroom for refreshments. All the DMC lecturers were there. Spent like 30-45 minutes eating and chatting, then I left with Rachel and Sufern.
We took the train; I got off at Tiong Bahru en route to Great World City (supposed to exchange my Zara blouse). There was nothing at GWC so I still ended up at Orchard in the end.
Since I was so full, I didn't bother to go home till 8.30 p.m. Had my bath, then cooked a huge packet of instant noodles. Settled in front of my laptop for my ICMT meeting, which went all right.
Spent the whole night doing e-learning. I've never procrastinated this much during e-learning so I had quite a bit of work to catch up on. By 7 a.m. the next morning, I was still browsing through Thai news sites. Typed some random points in MS Word, then went to sleep.
Overslept and didn't get up till 11 a.m., got changed and went to Vivo with my mother. Had lunch at SuperDog (oh how I love their Chicken Rippers), then we could finally start shopping.
I had originally planned to drop by Orchard right after Vivo, but we ended up spending half the day there. First it was F21, where the "Great F21 Sale" translated to three racks in a tiny corner of the store. Found a nice blouse in some other part of the shop though.
Next I headed to Topshop, where they had that $179 silk dress. Tried on size 6 and it was TOO SMALL (I realise Topshop's size 6 is becoming increasing smaller because I haven't gained any weight). Anyway it was too short and I never meant to buy it anyway (do I look like I have $179 in cash on hand???). Found some other nice blouse, which was around the same price as the F21 one, and couldn't decide which to get.
Whilst deciding I headed upstairs. My mother was harping on short dresses and insisting brightly, "It isn't always an advantage being tall!!!"
Yeah whatever.
I found Diva was having a sale and went in. Soon enough the whole place was full of people. :P
Then on our way to Tangs I spotted something at Nichii and went in. I've realised there are quite a lot of really nice (cheap) stuff there if you really bother to look, but usually I don't bother. This time I couldn't make up my mind over this pile of clothes. Left with two purchases, one of which was a $15 skirt. Haha.
Eh. But by then I was broke so that effectively ended 1) the debate between the F21 and Topshop blouse, and 2) the trip to Orchard.
Went home, typed a hell of a long MIA post and posted it on the discussion board. Then typed another long reply to some other post. Right after that I had to change and go for dinner at Jack's Place new seafood branch.
Had fish and chips and was looking forward to returning home to catch Supernatural (fell asleep last week and missed it) but my aunt wanted to go to PS's Carrefour to buy stuff (since it was Late Night Shopping was on).
So I only got home at 10.25 p.m. After Supernatural I watched the results of Survivor: Fiji (which was expected, and anyway this season has been so incredibly boring), then had my bath.
Settled down to read Agatha Christie: Collected Short Stories, but I kept falling asleep and dropping the book.
Gave up and went to sleep before 2 a.m., which is the earliest I've gone to sleep since the beginning of time.
...One last thing though. I think I'm in love with Dione's dog:

Okay, so that was wishful thinking on my part.
So much for a nice week at home.
My schedule looks like this:
MONDAY: Peer mentoring workshop from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
TUESDAY: Spec Dip Directing the Camera CA2 filming from 10 a.m. onwards
WEDNESDAY: Currently free, may schedule a group meeting for our ICMT e-learning work.
THURSDAY: Haemophilia Society project meeting from 11 a.m. to 1.45 p.m., followed by DMC course review from 1.45 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.
FRIDAY: I don't care. I'm keeping this free because 1) it's a Friday, damn it, and 2) the F21 sale is apparently starting on that day.
Today didn't start off well. For one, I didn't even sleep the whole night, thanks to that 200-word essay I had to write. I know, it's only a freaking measly 200 words, but there was NOTHING TO WRITE. And when I finally found something to write (in the vicinity of 6 a.m.), I wrote DOUBLE THE WORD LIMIT. Then I had to trim it down till it was time to leave for school.
On the train I actually fell asleep whilst standing by the door and nearly toppled over. Then I practically sleepwalked all the way to the Self-Access Centre.
The session was okay, although I was busy dozing off most of the time - not due to boredom though. We were split into random groups as usual, then asked to do an extrovert/introvert test and re-group according to our results. One activity later, we were back in our original groups and learning the differences between nouns, pronouns, prepositions, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, conjunctions and interjections.
It was actually very enlightening. Well, it wasn't our fault that we weren't taught these basics back in primary school.
We had a teabreak, during which I hogged the snacks table. Then it was back to work.
We were given a copy of Lewis Carroll's "The Jabberwocky" and told to change all the nonsense words into our own words. Someone in my group came up with "sexy trolls gyrating onstage". And that was only the beginning. The second version was less, erm, risque, involving "gigantic bears" and "furious curry buns".
I didn't really see the point in that activity. Our final activity saw us editing some grammatically-pathetic paragraphs, by which time it was past 1 p.m.
But we still had lunch after that. Lunch was a styrofoam packet full of fried beehoon, a sausage, a chicken drumstick, two fishballs and a piece of chicken fillet.
Then I could finally leave for home. Hurrah.
Unsurprisingly, I fell asleep on the bus. It was purely by chance that I managed to get off at my stop, since the bus happened to jerk and I conked my head on the window.
Got home and dozed off for slightly more than an hour, then had my bath and dozed off for another 2 or 3 hours.
That reminds me. It's 11.20 p.m. and I still haven't had my dinner. Lunch was so filling. Plus I (gasp!) don't have much of an appetite anyway.
I want to stay home and sleep tomorrow. BOOOOOOOOOOOO.

THE UPDATE, PART III
And in happier news, I received some certificates on Thursday, the most anticipated of which came in the mail.
Remember that MOS exam I mentioned in Part I?

My Microsoft Office Specialist Certification exam, that is. For Word 2003.
I am now officially certified. NOT certifiably insane (soon...), but a certified Microsoft Word Specialist!!!!!!!!!!!
So now you can ask anything you want about Word 2003. Except maybe formatting, 'cos I didn't study that chapter. Bah. I didn't have the time. :P
ANYWAY. You can still ask me about hidden text and section breaks and tracking changes and using the research function.......in other words, stuff you probably will never have a reason to use.
But really interesting stuff nonetheless.
I'm going to frame the nice little certificate that came from Sweden (so the sticker says) and proudly display it on my wall.
Nah. Just kidding. I will laminate it though, since it's larger than A4 and therefore doesn't fit into my certificates folder.
I love the fact that the certification is purely mine. By "purely mine" I mean that I was the one who got the requisite ITB grade to obtain the $20 discount...and since I'm from the School of Business I was entitled to another $20 discount...so in the end I only paid $10.
Mwhahaha. $10 for an $80 certification. Yet another example of being such a cheapo.

THE UPDATE, PART II
Monday morning of Week 4 saw me sitting in Ms Kwa's room discussing our concept paper for the final spec dip project. We were getting nowhere, so she kindly extended the deadline for us.
On Wednesday I had my first full peer mentoring session, which was NOT a success. BLAH to topic sentences. I decided to be better-prepared for the next session, so I did the next week's assignments.
On Thursday I finally handed in our spec dip individual CA - my lovely hand-drawn storyboard + character interpretation + floorplan which I did over the weekend.
...And on Friday I skipped MIA because I was just so damn tired that I couldn't get up.
That was not the end, however. On Sunday I met up with my ICM group (I was by far the latest...hahaha) at Clementi's McDonald's. Spent 4 hours finalising our proposal points, then spent another half an hour discussing our CIBM presentation.
Week 5. When all hell broke loose.
Monday saw me in school at 9.30 a.m.; spent 2.5 hours finishing our concept paper before heading for my first class of the day (ICM) where we did a final round of discussions.
Obviously I was reaaaaaaaaally tired by then, what with Sunday (and I stayed up very late to start on my MIA research) and all. So I missed CIBM and went home to nap. Needed the nap or else I wouldn't've been able to concentrate on my MIA essay on the development and effects of media indigenisation in Thailand. Continued my readings, which was quite fascinating.
On Tuesday I skipped my ICM lecture. Recharged with a nap before finishing my MIA readings.
On Wednesday I was forced to skip peer mentoring (all my preparations gone to waste) for a last-minute ICM discussion. Started on that dreaded essay and found that I had nothing to write about. Typed nonsense until 6 a.m.
Thursday morning I actually got up earlier than usual, despite sleeping at 6 a.m.
Why, you ask? Because I was crazy enough to run down to Vivo to catch the unveiling of the Kate Moss for Topshop line. Plus I had promised to get stuff for my sis. :P
Arrived slightly past 10 a.m.; there were already people swarming around and yanking the small-sized floral stuff off the racks. Didn't see the silk jacket my sis wanted (turns out they only stocked it at Wisma...argh!) but I managed to get...

...for myself. My sis wanted the white version.
I know what you're going to say. Don't I already have tons (remember the 5 from DP?) of tops similar to this?
Well...the buttons can actually be undone on this one!!! Wow. :P
Oh, and the tops came in a special black-and-purple carrier, which included:
I know. So random.
I ran off to the bus stop to catch 166 right after that, whilst my mother headed to Wisma.
Arrived in class 10 min late. :P
It was fun though.
Missed spec dip - really annoyed with how much time it's been taking up - so that I could rewrite my essay.
Worked from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on my essay. Once done, I immediately started the loooooooooong task of editing our ICM proposal.
Couldn't finish it on time. Had to take a taxi to school, which really irritated me 'cos I've been taking taxis to school more often in the past month than I have in the previous two years. PLUS this time I specifically asked the driver to hurry, and what did he do? Drive at 30km/h the whole damn way, slowing to 10km/h once we entered the school! #$%^&*!!! Not only did I have to dash breathlessly up to the fourth floor with my laptop and a pile of books, but I also had to pay more than usual!!!!!!!!!!!!
After handing the stupid essay in, I headed to the library to continue editing.
HJ joined me soon after. We didn't finish editing till past 2 p.m., by which time we were 1.5 hours past the deadline.
I'm getting a bigger feeling than before that half of the group doesn't give a damn whether they fail or pass our final year project.
And thanks to all that work, I 1) did not get to sleep the whole night, 2) had to miss MIA again when I hadn't intended to, and 3) had to miss KYTB when we were supposed to discuss our group project and I don't have a group yet.
Gee thanks.

THE UPDATE, PART I
So I've been, like, kinda busy the past month. *rolls eyes*
UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY.
But excuse me first while I go get that leftover peanut butter sandwich. Been waiting for 1.5 hours for my spec dip group to turn up online (1.5 hours of reading time wasted!!!) and I'm due for a midnight snack. Or two. Or three. Or any number of snacks I can get my hands on.
I apparently finished the sandwich whilst typing the above paragraph.
I'm still hungry.
ANYWAY, so 5 weeks have passed since my last post.
I was actually quite free the first week. But I was also in a very bad mood the whole week and wasn't in the mood to blog. No, actually, I contemplated never blogging again.
Week 2 began to get hectic. For one, we started project meetings. I've been complaining bitterly that there's no point having my Monday timetabled to start at noon...because I always have to be in school anywhere from 9 to 10.30 a.m. BAH.
On Thursday we were given our first Directing the Camera class assignment. We were handed part of the Psycho script and told to go off and photograph a real location for the scene and work out our floorplan, then present it the next day.
See, the problem is that from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays, I only have ONE free hour. And, like, I'm supposed to eat?
So I ended up gobbling two big pies (black pepper chicken and chicken mushroom) while we worked at a corner table in the cafe.
Then I had to rush off for my Know Your Temperament Blends class. Which I like very much, but 1) there are way too many students, and 2) it's hard to enjoy when you know you have 3 more hours of school after that.
Week 3 was INSANE. I had to either go to school early, leave late, or both, every single day. That was largely because of spec dip, which as you will notice as you read this post, I am extraordinarily sick of now. Because it's been sapping up ALL my time...and more. And because it's SPEC DIP, in terms of how much time I'm spending on my actual schoolwork, it's like I've just been lazing around the past 5 weeks doing nothing at all.
So yes. My schedule for Week 3:
Monday: ICM meeting before school. Right after school at 5 p.m. I had to rush off for a briefing on some extra project near Bugis. Didn't end till past 7, long before which I was starving.
Tuesday: Tuesday, as you know, was a public holiday. Which meant NO REST and I had to drag myself to TCC at CityLink around lunchtime to have a - surprise! - spec dip discussion. Didn't leave till 4.30 p.m. The only thing that cheered me up was that I happened to drop by Topshop before meeting up...and they happened to have a sale. And I happened to get a nice pair of pants for $16...and its original price was $106. :P
Wednesday: ICM meeting before school, CIBM lecture immediately after, peer mentoring immediately after, skipped last hour of peer mentoring and ran across the school for my MOS exam (more about this later), then finished some other important stuff at school........and headed down to Orchard. Met my spec dip group at Wheelock's Sakae Sushi. Ate two plates of sushi (had previously eaten before arriving) and left past 7 p.m. Another thing to cheer me up: On my way home I stopped at Vivo and went in just for fun. Found out River Island had further discounts, and got that top I wanted the very first time I went there. Only left at almost closing time.
Thursday: After spec dip ended at 6 p.m., stayed back for more discussions.
Friday: ...................ah, Friday........................(below)
Friday as usual started at 9 a.m. HOWEVER, spec dip had been "cancelled" to allow us to film our Psycho scene. So at 2.30 p.m. I ran to get extra scotch tape, masking tape and two 1.5 litre bottles of water, then took the train to Buona Vista, where most of my group was waiting.........
...........at creepy old Rochester Park.
Oh yes, Rochester Park, hidden behind thick foliage on top of a hill....

Yes, that Rochester Park...the one lined with DOZENS OF LARGE EMPTY COLONIAL HOUSES. The one lined with DOZENS OF LARGE EMPTY COLONIAL HOUSES THAT MAY BE HAUNTED.
Just kidding. But you know what? IT WAS MY IDEA. Remember the previous Thursday when we had to go find an actual location for the scene? The first creepy-looking house that popped into my mind was there.
Except then I didn't know almost all the houses there were empty. I think there are only two houses still occupied in the whole area. And I have no idea why anyone would be insane enough to live in some quiet secluded area surrounded by deserted houses.
But ANYWAY. All the gates to the houses are chained, but at one house someone found part of the gate had fallen down. Since I was alone, it was not a very fun walk up the hill. Found the house number and the hole in the gate and climbed through. Sunlight was streaming into the main part of the house (the balcony gate was open). The house was really very nice. If it wasn't so dusty. And I actually went to explore the huge upstairs rooms - alone. They have this huge balcony that I would love to have in my house. But back to the recount.
We spent some time sorting through the mass of props the others had brought.
So we built our little hotel reception desk at a cosy corner with a very convenient little window.
The window was so convenient that a security guard saw us as he walked by. We very politely told him what we were doing and he agreed to let us stay.
We did stay. Till past 7 p.m. - when the whole area was pitch black! Seriously. It was freaky. We had to pack up by torchlight and shine our way out to the MRT.
I had originally planned to have dinner at Marina with my mother, but she couldn't be bothered to wait so long so she had gone home. Then again I was so bloody dusty and mosquito-bitten (there were ten mosquito bites on each of my feet) that I wouldn't want to show my face in public anyway.
So I went home to have a well-deserved shower. Courtesy of my shoe.
