I had one hour's sleep this morning again. 6 am to 7 am.
Is it any wonder I didn't pay attention in MLE and slept for half of the PRMP lecture yesterday?
Today was no better, trust me. I skipped the first 3 hours of school just to finish the AM print ads (and since when did that become my part?) and coax the laser printer to...well, print. I couldn't even be bothered to edit the final part (HJ's). Besides, not like there was time.
And some people thought it would be very nice to tell me they were having lunch at Cartel while I was half-conscious waiting for the AM tutorial to start. :P
We were released early and I was tempted tempted TEMPTED to miss spec dip, I tell you.
Except I already missed it yesterday since I was stuck in the DMS till past 5 pm.
Bah. Barely anyone turned up 'cos apparently some classes have both their reports due and presentations on tomorrow.
Thank goodness our MPP is on Friday.
In other news, it seems my family is getting their dates a bit confused.
Not that I mind, as you will see.
At around 2 am this morning my sister came home and handed me a folded piece of paper, saying it was my Christmas present.
Hmm. Piece of paper. Okay.
So I turned to leave and get my stuff (since I had just requested to borrow her laptop), and something slipped out of the folded piece of paper and landed on the floor.
That something turned out to be a Kinokuniya member card!!!
Wahhhhhhhhh. I was supposed to get it like 1.5 years ago but nobody would sponsor me then. In fact, it was top of my birthday list for next year and I was in the midst of pestering my mother to get it for me.
Anyway. Yeah. Wheeeeeee. Even though Christmas is obviously a month away.
And then...........today.
I was even more tempted to skip spec dip because I called my mother before the class started and turns out she was at Vivo. :P
When I got home, I found the potato chips I requested, as well as a Pull & Bear shopping bag on my bed.
It was that pink shirt! And I like only briefly showed my mother a pic of it on Sunday! (Back then she didn't seem too impressed until she heard the price; then she asked me if I didn't get it because I didn't have the money.)
Anyway. She called it sort of my early birthday present.
And as we should all know by now, my birthday is, erm, two months away.
I must admit I am a bit suspicious about whether it was meant for my birthday...or whether it was just another benefit of The New Situation. Oh well.

This morning, I was unfortunately reminded of another reason why group projects make me want to fling my phone against the wall and stomp on it repeatedly.
Actually let's be honest. It wasn't only this morning. It was the whole freaking day.
But I digress.
When I finally decided to get up (now nursing a very big headache from all the periodic messages and calls coming in), I realised I couldn't leave on time because there were even more things to clarify that couldn't wait till tonight.
So I left like an hour late.
Good thing WH and Valerie left late too.
Anyway, we met at Plaza Singapura and after a loooooooooong pointless discussion (in which I didn't contribute), we ended up eating at Yoshinoya. Which, btw, was the first time I was eating there.
Valerie was asking about YQ (who didn't want to come) and WH was being irritating as usual - until he admitted he's in the top 5% of his course. *rolls eyes*
After that we had nothing better to do so we walked to The Cathay to catch a movie. Turned out the next movies were Happy Feet and Material Girls. Valerie sort of wanted to watch Happy Feet, but WH was all, "I don't want to pay to see penguins dancing-dancing!" so we ended up watching Material Girls.
This was despite the fact he had no clue what the movie was about.
The hall was almost empty and I admit halfway through I wanted to stand up and ask, "So now do you want to watch penguins dancing-dancing?!"
Not long after the movie ended Valerie got a call from her friends who were about to watch - ta-da! - Happy Feet at Bugis, so she rushed off.
So we went home.
Well okay I didn't go home straight. You can't expect me to stop at HarbourFront MRT and not pop by Vivo. :P
Went to try on that pink shirt YQ and I saw at Pull & Bear on Thursday. Couldn't decide if I wanted it, so I left it and wandered around some more. My last stop was the newly-opened large Sembawang store that is in a VERY obscure corner of the mall.
Need help from Sam here. (To Sam: Do you remember how much my CD cost at HMV? It was $16.95 right? 'Cos in that case Sembawang has it for like 5 cents less. Haha.)
And that reminds me, while I was at PS I found a store selling the Tristy & Issy VCD (the one with the DVD-sized box) for only $12.90! Shall get it during the holidays.
But I digress.
Back to the lovely projects. P.S. And I nearly forgot. Was out for the whole day on Saturday. Thanks to my new situation, I took full advantage and got my mother to buy that pair of Gap formal pants. :P

I find myself with some unprecedented free time now. Wow.
Not that I'm actually free. I just don't have anything to do at this point of time. Except maybe my script.
On Sunday night however, I expect little to no sleep. I don't know why everyone seems to think editing reports is a breeze.
Anyway, I left my elective form blank and arrived a little late for MPP. During our break we asked Miss Low about the elective choices. Like someone asked why Scriptwriting is for corporate videos and not film and television. Apparently it's 'cos scripting corporate videos is heavily done in PR.
I heard "PR" and knew that was the end of considering the module.
Although I didn't really make a choice till the very last moment. Up till almost 3 p.m. I was still going about wondering out loud, "What violence is there in Pokemon games? The Pokemon don't even die..."
Yeah. There was quite a bit of discussion on Pokemon today. :P
Spent most of the two hour break walking in circles round the staff room area, dropping by various rooms to clarify stuff.
MLT 9 was freezing. I mean FREEZING. I'm surprised by hand didn't just freeze and stick to the table.
...Wait that was gross.
Anyway. Thought I'd finally get home to take my much-needed nap, but at Redhill my mother called and told me to meet her at Vivo instead. Whee.
Well apparently the whole change of plans occurred because my cousin had returned from Australia a week early. Had dinner and walked around a bit before heading to the bus stop. Before we left, however, this guy dressed as a chef walked around the ground floor with a tray of round little teacake-like thingies. We all took one. Mine was pink and tasted like Bandung.
Then we left.
I sat down to watch Charmed since I *cough* saw the trailer and realised Chris (the older version) was going to be in the episode. I fell asleep halfway through and woke up to see the ending credits. Bloody hell. It was the last ep too. (SAM DO YOU HAVE THE EPISODE?!!!)
Had my belated bath and found out I had 15 min to rest. The 15 min turned into 45 min or something (fell asleep again), so I was late to get on MSN. Discussion officially ended like an hour ago.
I shall sleep early. Have lunch at some hotel near Orchard later. I would relish the idea of going to Orchard again so I can get my Dashboard Confessional CD................but you guessed it. Broke again. Bloody. I have so many things to buy. And the next fortnight will see me in serious debt...Personal Financial Planning is so not helping.
Maybe when I go out later I will look at the sky again and this time a big wad of hundred dollar notes will land conveniently on my head.
For the moment though I will sneak outside to read Persian Fire. Almost done with the Sparta chapter. I realise I would've made a lousy Spartan. They exercise too much.

1.08 a.m.
No nap.
Annoyed with self.
I reached school late - late to meet Theresa and HJ, not late for UCCD. I took my ISP application form and went to the library to finish my assignment on The Departed. Seriously I thought I could finish it last night but I only managed to give a 33-point summary on all the main events in the film. Blah. Probably shouldn't have watched Narnia.
By the time I left the library, it was raining LIKE CRAZY - I had to run up the foyer stairs and even though the foyer stairs are not exactly very near the foyer entrance...I was completely soaked!!!
Spent the UCCD lecture shivering alone. Well actually not alone. Someone sat beside me. I have no idea who she was or why she was sitting beside me. Oh well.
Tutorial was unusually draggy. We got released without even finishing the tutorial. Haha. Got our essays back. My first paragraph had a "citation?" written beside it.
That's disturbing. Cite what? It was all general knowledge. I'm not sure if it should be taken as a compliment or I will get into trouble if I bring it up - like you know, no evidence to back it up. And I didn't know the citations in the bibliography were supposed to be arranged in alphabetical order. UGH. It was the best I could do at 5 a.m. in the morning.
Thankfully the weather was sunnier when I walked out of SB. I looked up to the sky a la that scene in Anastasia where Anya pleads, "Give me a sign! Anything!"
A topic for my ISP, that is.
I looked up into the sky and it rained on me.
What the bloody hell is that supposed to mean?! And for that matter, has anyone thought that the reason why people with at least a 70% cumulative grade average are encouraged to take ISP? Jessica's warped thoughts have come to this conclusion: there's a high risk of screwing your ISP grade up but at least it won't affect a >70% grade average that badly.
Anyway, disgrutled, I headed to Vivo. I was even more disgruntled 'cos my UCCD notes gave me a paper cut again. After a shameful walk around the place, I realised I had forgotten where Starbucks was and had to call YQ. Haha. So much for Vivo being my territory and all.
First YQ had a selection of jewellery to choose from. :P Then we left Starbucks to go look around the place. My motive was to browse around my usual haunts. And hopefully get some red/pink top. I have run out of clothes in that colour. Soon I'll be desperate enough to wear my Man U jersey to school. YQ's motive, on the other hand, was to look for a clutch and heels for her prom! Whee. After a lot of walking around, we ended up in Tangs for quite some time as YQ chose a silver/grey clutch and silver heels. Then it was finally off to have dinner! We ate at LJS. Then talked till almost 9. Or was it past 9? Anyway, we had to head back to F21 first to get my stuff. One hairband and one burgundy shirt. I couldn't even be bothered to try on the shirt. Haha. After which we took our respective buses home. I finished my The Departed assignment and sent it (when I finally reread the email and found out we were supposed to do it in PowerPoint...ah heck it if I can...I don't have stupid PowerPoint and I can't be bothered to ask my sister for her laptop again). Following that was a bit too much personal research... Off to do MPP tutorial. As usual, expect a half-dead human on Friday. P.S. About the 4A gathering. At Vivo. HAHAHA. Vivo. This would rock if I didn't have second thoughts about going. Not that I'm not dying to see most of my classmates again. I don't even think I'll be free that weekend. Or I am I just making an excuse? P.P.S. Oh wait. I remember why I won't be free. We're having a spec dip over-the-weekend 24-hr assignment. Or something like that. Yippee. Suddenly I really want to go for the class gathering. P.P.P.S. Which means, YQ, you MUST COME THIS WEEKEND!!! That is if our dear friend hasn't forgotten. *rolls eyes*

Oh how stupid can I be. The 2007/2008 calendar is out already.
That rhymes. But that's not the point. The point is...
START THE COUNTDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!
And what on earth were they talking about, this 12-week term being only temporary? There's another 12-week term next year!!!
And guess what date's the last day of school.
18 January.
It could have been a great birthday present (ignoring exams after that)...........
.............except that we'll all be on attachment and I have no idea when that ends. I seriously hope it ends by end January and no later than the first week of February. Or else it could potentially screw up a lot of plans.
I will find somewhere to place my old countdown thingy (that used to countdown to my birthday) when I have the time.
Meanwhile, back to work while Sam goes off to Phuket. :P
P.S. "An examination of the different methods used in teaching Latin through print media and audio." You can tell I'm so taking advantage.

I'm in a fairly good mood this week. How surprising, especially with such sad lack of sleep.
Anyway I don't think I'll be in a good mood for long.
Well where was I. Monday. Ah yes.
MLE was cancelled and I was unusually early for school. Ms Nga took over the lecture on pretence of some lecture on Desktop Publishing in Media, Law and Ethics. Would have looked more credible if Ms Kwa wasn't laughing in the background...
Anyway. So now we're supposed to choose our free elective for next semester.
I am quite against the idea of another 3-hour-long writing module so Scriptwriting is out. As is Business Planning and New Ventures, just because. :P
So I'm left with Media in Asia and the Independent Study Project!
I was going to take Media in Asia all along...already decided last year...but after 1.5 years of school I realise I am COMPLETELY SICK OF GROUP PROJECTS. My main problem is, as I have told Sam, my working hours. Jessica Yeo operates from 12 am to 6 am unlike the rest of the world. Because Jessica Yeo cannot keep awake when she gets home at like 6.45 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. So do you know how much it sucks when a project is coming up and I have to be on discussion in MSN from 8 or 9 to 11 or 12? Basically if I can even concentrate, I will still feel like going straight to sleep after the discussion. But noooooooo I still have a stupid pile of work to clear. :P
Oh yeah and I'd rather not worry if I will do something wrong and screw up everyone else's grades, or vice versa.
So my point is that ISP is very tempting.
But I can't think of a topic to work on. The 8,000 to 10,000 word report isn't the problem - it's finding a topic that is annoying me.
I initially thought I'd do something that would allow me to play The Sims for the whole semester. But what? Find out the best way to kill them? Study the antics of a real-life family against the antics of a Sim family? Like what does that have to do with media and communication anyway. I think studying the genetic inheritence structure of The Sims 2 (plus I get to buy the game!) would be very interesting, but that's even more unrelated. Besides I already know that the genes for dark blue eyes and black hair are dominant in the game.
Speaking of which, if the medium has something to do with media and comm, can the actual thing you want to find out not be related? Like if I wanted to study Charmed (which is perfectly all right since it's a television programme), could my topic be like "Mythological References in Charmed"? Not that I want to do that topic. Because in that case I'd get a kick out of doing "Historical and Fictional References in Fire Emblem"or "How the Medieval setting in Fire Emblem affects the game dialogue, battle sequences, customs, etc. in the game". The latter especially would be sooooooo fun. One semester of playing Fire Emblem! And I can conduct my study on the go too!
I also had an idea to do a qualitative (or was it quantitative? Erm.) analysis a la last semester's Happy Tree Friends. Like, you know, "Violence in the Pokemon Cartoon Series". But then I'd have to watch who knows how many thousand episodes. And Pikachu irritates me.
Pity I don't have a favourite show anymore.
Or, failing everything else, I shall just decide to study sales advertisements in newspapers, get the research grant thing, and spend ONE WHOLE SEMESTER SHOPPING AT SALES.
Mwahahahahaha.
*cough*
Hey wait. "How the Medieval Setting in Fire Emblem affects Character Communication in the Game"!
Does that count? In FE7 especially they talk a bit too much...
Yeah okay enough about that. I'm supposed to be searching for a blow-by-blow account of the events in The Departed for my spec dip assignment. 'Cos I can't for the life of me remember the sequence of events after Costigan joins Costello & Co. Blah.
Eh speaking of spec dip. Today I yelled at someone in the class to "SHUT THE F***ING HELL UP!!!"
...Because this week marks the start of our Directing the Actor module and apparently it involves a lot of role playing. Was fun while it lasted though. *snigger* P.S. My Math is also failing 'cos I miscalculated how long more CDX would be open internationally. Which meant a mad rush just now to finish Episode 4, which saw me shouting at the computer and my mother scolding me for talking to myself. I mean, that game is seriously HARD. You have to remember the routes of your five separate enemies and try to get back to the starting point. And my stupid arrow keys kept failing me. Twice I was stuck leaving the fuse box room and got caught. Then I was more than halfway to the starting point when I forgot the route the enemy nearby was taking, and guessed wrongly and went down the wrong corridor to get cornered. I finally managed it at exactly 9 p.m. (was half asleep and getting grouchy) when another enemy was nearby and I couldn't reach my starting point without being caught, so I took a gamble and backtracked around the opposite side of the room they were passing, following carefully behind them till the enemy moved past my starting point and made a turn, and I could safely enter the room. After that was a very short video sequence where the ex-gf is at the airport and all relieved that she managed to steal the blade. She tells the main character she's leaving the country now to get him, and the video ends. Erm. Like wasn't the main character supposed to tell her to destroy the blade? ... Not sure the ending was worth all the trouble. :P

Eh. I just realised my last post was my 400th!
Anyway. Been a bit lazy to update.
Last week was Common Test Week. I have a strong dislike for the name because it reminds me of lower secondary. But that's not the point.
The point is, I ROCK!!! And do you know why I rock? Because I was late for not one but two CAs!
Seriously. If it wasn't the bus taking too long to arrive, then it was the MRT. Public transport likes to stab me in the back. And actually I made a note to get up early for the other two CAs after the first one, but I kept miscalculating my timings and ended up running up to the classroom on both days.
Anyway the last CA (EOF) wasn't too bad so I was in a pretty good mood. Good enough not to take a nap. But then again I had to make the most of my self-imposed One Day Holiday - from Thursday night till I got home on Friday. So I had just ONE MISERABLE PATHETIC night to read Persian Fire, and that was it.
Because Friday was (finally) the end of the A levels! Sam and YQ's last paper finished annoyingly late so we couldn't do much. I slept at like 6 or 7 on Friday morning so I took my time to wake up.
Met Sam first at City Hall MRT. We walked to the usual places - HMV, our ground-floor haunts at Marina Square. We had just entered Suntec when YQ called saying she was on her way there. And Sam and I were actually supposed to have dinner before YQ met us. Haha. But we all ended up at KFC.
Then it was more walking around the first floor of Marina. After which we finally headed back to Raffles City and our oldest haunt ever, CAFE CARTEL!!!
You can check Sam's blog to see what we got up to there; basically took some lame photos and talked lame stuff. I was the only one who had coffee since I was expecting to stay up till very late.
Very late to do what? Now, hanging out with two people who are currently faced with 7/8 months of holiday makes me feel like I'm on holiday too, so I had to keep reminding myself your 4-page script is waiting to materialise back home! and you need to do your stupid EOF PowerPoint!
With that in mind, I managed to finish half the script on Friday night (I could've finished the whole script but I decided sleep was more important).
Saturday mid-afternoon I met Sam at Vivo. Was supposed to terrorise her, i.e. show her my article and my school yearbook. (And for the record, I did NOT "proudly" show her the school yearbook...it's not like I had anything to do with it). Then we traded VCDs (I lent her DPS in return for Narnia) and I left not long after.
I went home to work on my new desktop wallpaper (the script could wait) before leaving later for Orchard. Had dinner at Pasta Cafe in the Ngee Ann City basement. My meal was expensive but it was a HUGE portion - one giant plate of fettucine pasta with a generous helping of Japanese curry (which contained lots of potatoes and carrots) PLUS one big breaded fish fillet PLUS two enormous tempura prawns PLUS some tempura squids.
And I ate HALF A PIZZA after that, upon which my father asked me why I never seem to grow. :P
And speaking of which, a later conversation with my father:
Father: What do you want to do after you graduate from poly?
Jessica: I want to stay at home.
Father: You mean you want to freelance?
Jessica: No, I mean I want to stay at home and do nothing. Doesn't it just suck to have me as a daughter? :P Oh, and they were playing love songs in the restaurant, much to my distaste. The songs were covers by some random guy. I heard Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word and thought, "ARGH! That reminds me...did I ever ask Sam if the Clay version was nice? EHHHHHH...waaaaaait..." The next song, When I See You Smile, made me even more suspicious. Because Clay has this unique way of singing words with "ee" in them that was a little too apparent in the song. ACK. What on earth were they doing, playing his CD... Anyway, I got home and finished the rest of my script (overshot by one page but that's 'cos a properly formatted script has too much empty space - in actual fact there wasn't much dialogue). Sunday for a change I started my EOF PowerPoint early in the evening and finished it two hours later. I had three things I wanted to do - play CDX*, read Persian Fire and watch Narnia. I figured I could squeeze two activities but turned out I only had time for CDX, which was a bit too engrossing. (major rambling below...you can stop reading here) *And what is this CDX, you ask? It's BBC's latest game on their History site. I've been hoping for a Death in Sakkara sequel so I check the site occasionally. I had it at the back of my mind but when I finally had the time to play, BBC had made the game (which needs a Broadband connection since it involves A LOT of video streaming) UK-only, with an upcoming 7-day trial period during which international users could play the game for the last time. Fortunately, the 7-day trial started last Wednesday so I had time to play. The story revolves around this guy, a freelance props buyer for TV, who gets into a car accident in Tunis and wakes up in his dark hotel room (the room has to be dark because of his medication) with slight memory loss. It seems a few people have been trying to contact him about this Roman blade he purchased for use in a BBC programme on Rome so he has to find out if the blade is real. To prove that involves some travelling around Roman churches, done by his ex-girlfriend. Then it turns out (ooh surprise!) that the blade is the key to an ancient conspiracy that may erupt into the modern day if it falls in the wrong hands. The first episode is pretty exciting - or rather the beginning and end are. The second episode made me almost give up the game 'cos you have to guide the ex-gf round Rome in a set amount of time and either I was too slow or there was some bug in the game. The third episode was very high-drama - after the gf finds more clues leading her to Israel, these two Mafia-like guys burst into the main character's room and what follows is a very long but realistic interrogation. That part was pretty tricky 'cos you have to decide when to tell the truth and when to lie. Apparently if you tell the truth (that the blade is hidden behind you) when asked where it is, one of the guys takes it and stabs the main character to death. Hehe. So you have to keep lying (and for some reason, the guy seems cooler everytime he asks "What blade?" and yells "I DON'T KNOW!"...I mean, who the heck can be that nonchalant when they're either gonna get seriously beaten up, tortured or killed?...but that's just me...*cough*) Anyway, the right sequence of telling the truth and lying will result in an email being received on the guy's laptop from his ex-gf, saying the blade the guy holds is a fake. After which the Mafia guys knock him out again and finally leave. Now I'm on the fourth and last episode, which involves an insanely difficult pac-man like race to get the real blade from some large mansion. Obviously I'm still stuck and will have to find a way to finish the game before Wednesday when the trial ends. And OMG that was one hell of a long post. Will be back tomorrow to talk about my elective choice for next semester.

YAWP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched DPS again last night! (In case you were wondering, that's the VCD I bought on Tuesday. $8 on clearance!)
Sigh. Don't we all wish we had stray guns lying around the house.
Anyway, I just came back from Vivo, which was FREAKING crowded. Not that I really wanted to go today, except that I wanted to get something from F21 and I can't be bothered to drop by this week.
I chose a Barbie doll for a Christmas present at Toys "R" Us!
...Not my Christmas present, you idiot. Firstly, I haven't celebrated Christmas for 10 years (this year being the tenth), and secondly, I helped my aunt choose it for some little girl she and my mother know at a temple.
It was a very short trip to Toys "R" Us but it was fun. Did you know that for $19.90, you can get this gift pack consisting of a Barbie doll and six outfits (excluding the one she's already wearing)? Such value for money. Now if I had a liiiiiiiittle sister I would probably get that. But thankfully I don't have one 'cos I'm broke. One big sister is more than enough. And speaking of the big sister, she went to Bangkok for the weekend and will be coming back late tonight. HMMPH. I want to go too.
Anyway, so after buying Barbie, we all went to Swensen's for dessert. I, as expected, had my tall glass of Cookie Summit. It was too much for me - not too much ice cream, because that's no big deal - I meant too much sugar...seriously, all that fudge and maltesers and even the ice cream was way too sweet.
Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, I had to go to school on Friday to do the MPP group work e-learning. Unfortunately my mother made me have lunch before I went, so I was too full to have my Japanese food. :P
We were supposed to be done very soon, but ended up only leaving at 6 p.m. That's mostly due to Theresa and I. We were in charge of looking through the library's old copies of Teenage magazine...and ended up doing all the quizzes in each issue and laughing at people's problems in the Aunt Agony pages. Well okay not laughing at their problems, but at the really hilarious titles the magazine uses for each weepy letter. A fine example was "I really want to die!"
ANYWAY. After I got home I took a nap and spent the rest of the night (until 6 a.m. I think) reading Jahanara, since that's the only book I can finish fast enough to make my booklist look less...daunting.
And now I will shut up and go have dinner.

I make it my duty to find a moral in every movie.
The moral of The Departed is...
DON'T JOIN THE POLICE FORCE. AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!
Anyway.
My plan to reach Vivo an hour earlier went up in smoke for a few reasons, mainly because I was up till past 7 a.m. doing e-learning (well actually that makes me sound hardworking...in actual fact I didn't start till past 4 a.m., thanks to needing my sister's laptop and her using it all night long). I finished UCCD and PFP and did a little of AM.
So I didn't manage to wake up early enough. But it turned out okay in the end because the bus arrived immediately and I reached there like 5 min later with around 45 min to spare. Browsed around before buying my VCD and earrings, then turned up at Carl's Jr. at exactly 12.30 p.m. ...
I was the third one to arrive! Yay.
Anyway, I don't know how long the movie was but it did seem a bit too long in parts. Though the Irish music with the guy screaming in the background did crack me up. You half expect everyone to start tapdancing to it.
And if I had $1 for everytime someone said ****, all I can say is...MAJOR SHOPPING SPREE. The problem is that when they're spewing it three or four times in one sentence, it gets a bid tedious trying to figure out what they were really saying, sans all the expletives.
Unfortunately the only scene I ever watched of Infernal Affairs was the elevator one, which kinda spoiled a lot of things for me. I did like the rat at the end though.
Lunch was at Carl's Jr. Man, the Charbroiled Chicken Club whatever is damn nice. Nicer than the Chicken Crispy Swiss whatever. But they should really shorten their burger names.
Oh and guess what the first topic during lunch was.
Continuity errors in the film.
Now, I admit I didn't really notice anything jarring. I mean, everyone is always smoking so how the heck am I gonna keep track if the cigarette suddenly went missing or suddenly appeared in their mouth? I was proud enough of having noticed the discrepancy in the address Costigan was given. You don't expect me to pay that much more attention.
Although I am beginning to see why they say media students will never look at films the same way again.

I can't remember what substance batteries contain, but whatever it is, I'm going to die from it soon.
Let's backtrack. It was sometime earlier last week when I decided it would be fun to find out how much my Polly Pocket collection is worth. Apparently I can sell the whole thing for slightly over $100, but I'd sooner sell my soul so too bad.
That's not the point though. The point is as I was browsing through all those auctions on Ebay, it occurred to me...that I had a few playsets...that had batteries in them...for at least 10 years!!!
I was finally free to dig the whole thing up earlier this evening. Oh what a mess, I tell you. Although I am pretty amazed the batteries actually held up that long, since it's not like I haven't touched the things for ten years.
ANYWAY, so I spent almost three hours unscrewing the battery compartments and cleaning all the oily blue residue everywhere.
Then it was playtime!
No really.
*ahem*
There's school later at 4.30 p.m. Well, actually spec dip is on at 4 p.m., but what is the point of going for spec dip if I have to leave at 4.30 p.m. and return again at 5 p.m.? I might as well only go at 5 p.m.
Or don't go at all.
*cough*
I didn't go to Vivo the whole of last week! WOW! But then again, ignoring my naps, I didn't get even 5 hours of proper sleep the whole week. And I had ONE HOUR of sleep on Thursday without a nap.
About our presentation, I am quite sure I screwed up. I completely forgot to mention the floor plan. We changed almost our whole proposal ONE HOUR before the presentation itself so that was pretty darn unsettling, although I would be lying if I said that was why I screwed up.
I screwed up because I naturally screw up in presentations, especially presentations for which I don't prepare. And I didn't prepare for this one 'cos I was up till 5 a.m. doing my stupid essay (or rather, the citations for the bibliography). And I only managed to finish my essay so late because I was busy with MPP the whole week. And obviously I would know better than to leave the essay to the very last week, but you do remember that I spent TWO WHOLE WEEKENDS doing spec dip work right?

Nah. I still have to come up with a 4-page script from my half-edited story. :P
Aaaaaaaaaaand in other news, I have been making up for lost sleep. Like on Friday, I was konked out from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Best. Sleep. Ever. And no disturbing dreams this time round!
Well, actually the last dream wasn't disturbing. Or at least, it was all lovely 'cos I grew like 3 cm or something. THEN the scene changed and it got disturbing.
Sigh. I actually woke up thinking I grew 3 cm.
ANYWAY. In other OTHER news, I finally got my book! (And I have no time to read it!)
As you know I woke up really early on Saturday morning. I found that Borders was having a 20% storewide discount and rushed down...only to find that the book was still $31.90, which meant like a $1 discount since everywhere else was selling it for $26something. Tried my luck at Kinokuniya but to no avail. Then dejectedly left for Suntec.
Times wasn't having any discounts, so I slumped off to KFC to try the new fish meal. Unfortunately I chose a seat that faced the counter, so everyone who finished purchasing their food walked by and stared as if only deranged people have lunch by themselves. Well that's my mother's fault for cancelling at the last minute! Well actually it was my sister's fault for getting some mysterious ailment that made my mother busy...
ANYWAY. So after that really full lunch, I headed through City Link to go home. Went into MPH by the back entrance, realised there were almost no copies of my book left, and got really suspicious. So I walked out the front entrance, turned around, and there it was: the 20% discount for books on last week's bestseller list.
Mwahahaha.

ARGH. I can't take it.
See, here I am reading the peer reviews for my movie idea. (Btw, my movie idea was ranked 6th, which is quite a feat considering I expected it at like 18th or something...I think the only thing that saved it was the ending. And I didn't change the ending till the very last minute.)
ANYWAY, while most of the comments on how to improve it are very helpful, there are some that really irk me, not because they're very mean or anything, but because it proves some of my classmates obviously didn't read the whole thing properly.
By the above I mean all those people who refer to Sam as Tracy's friend or even went as far as suggesting Perhaps a little romance between Tracy and Sam?
Ahem.
SAM IS TRACY'S BROTHER!!!
Sheesh.
And for the record, the name "Sam" has nothing to do with the other Sam. :P I decided I wanted generic names for all the characters. Besides, the story Sam's only purpose of existence is to be the very nice older BROTHER who keeps having bad things happen to him without doing anything.
And that also reminds me. The other irksome remark that I got twice is that the story sounds too much like Death Note.
Well, that's not my fault, is it? Considering the fact that I haven't (and will never, especially after this) watched it? :P And I have a lot of other things to rant about, but since they're unrelated to my movie idea, plus I have no time, I shall leave it for another time. Or at least till I'm done overreacting. P.S. Not you again...
