What a CRAPPY holiday.
Firstly, e-learning was lovely. A lovely FAILURE that is. It really is NOT amusing having to check every module's Documents, Assignments and E-learning folders to find the hidden e-learning assignment. And then some start arriving by intranet, which only bored people (like me) can be bothered to check in the first place.
I've got this nagging suspicion I forgot to do at least one assignment. Which excludes the CONB practical 'cos I can't find the time to sit down for an hour and watch commercials. The only shows I manage to watch these days are WC matches, and the only commercials I see are those at halftime by McDonald's and whatever electronics brand(s).
Speaking of WC matches, will Starhub kindly stop bragging about its "unsurpassed coverage" of the WC? Because anyone with half a brain knows that's just an euphemism for "BLOODY MONOPOLY".
And though I've managed to watch most of the best matches so far (which required lots of travelling and too much junk food, of which the latter I am not complaining), I've not particularly enjoyed some of them (those that I watched at home) because I had to double-task and do research on or plan or WHATEVER my essay/feature story/report. I missed seeing a goal yesterday 'cos I was too busy flipping through my notes on MacGuffins. Although I admit the concept of MacGuffins is interesting. Like I realised Eliwood's father in FE is a MacGuffin because his disppearance is what starts Eliwood off on his journey, but halfway through Eliwood finds Elbert and Elbert dies - and by the end of the story Eliwood's new quest is to stop Nergal from releasing dragons on the earth. Wow. ANYWAY. Another thing. If there's one thing I hate more than going to school, it's going to school during the holidays. Particularly for no urgent reason...like borrowing DVDs. And thanks to the short loan time, I had to drag myself back on Monday morning to return them - after having slept at like 6 a.m. working on aforementioned stuff. I was so tired I couldn't be bothered to do anything else other than go home and sleep the whole afternoon after that. Then it was one whole night of working on aforementioned stuff again. In fact I seem to have completely lost track of a lot of things. Like I was looking forward to the CCA council alumni get-together thingy, but I somehow lost interest when I realised it required me to be out late AND that day happened to be the start of the WC. When the day finally came I was out late doing *ahem* something else (hehehe...was worth the wait though) and only when I settled in front of the TV that night did I remember the get-together. (For the record I had such a busy day that I couldn't keep awake and fell asleep at halftime. Pity.) Then there was the sports feature story, which I had to work on while staying over at Sam's. It wasn't so bad 'cos I had cup noodles and we made that green ice cream float thingy...but bacardi breezers were out of stock. Blah. And the next day I had to go to Orchard to collect my handphone, which mysteriously stopped functioning one night. I TOLD YOU THE PHONE WAS LOUSY!!! My scores for Rally Pro were all erased and I had to start from Championship mode - which can be completed in one sitting 'cos it's so easy...but then again. Those high scores! :P Now I have to finish up my aforementioned stuff by tonight because I'll be away till Sunday night. So why I am wasting my time blogging, I don't know. Especially when the England-Sweden match started 15 min ago!!!
