Woke up this morning (from yet another nightmare) with a very uneasy feeling. Took me quite some time to realise why I was so uneasy despite the subject of my nightmare.
*shudder*
I'm taking precautions now, in case I disappear for the next few days or weeks and you wonder where I went to. People who have been traumatised by THE RESULTS don't really like to blog, you know.
Well, here's to tomorrow. Hopefully I get to go celebrate, shop and blog instead of going into hiding.
Bye.

Time has been passing suspiciously fast the last three days. For example yesterday was Friday but I could've sworn the day before yesterday was Wednesday! So what happened to Thursday???
The glorious weekend doesn't seem so glorious anymore. Plus it doesn't help that I'm finding it very hard to concentrate on anything that is not a murder story.
Was at Swensen's downtown yesterday. Had Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The last time I ate that was on our dear friend's birthday in September...and that was even before the Prelims!!! Haha, how time flies. And thank goodness it flew, too, or I'd still be stuck mugging for *horrified gasp* A Math! Hehehe.
Well, during that satisfying lunch, my aunts all spontaneously convinced my mother to follow me to school on Monday. 3rd Aunt said it is really interesting/exciting watching all the students screaming/crying/jumping up and down.
Yippee. Can't wait.
P.S. You might notice I just finished another "book" suddenly. To tell the truth it wasn't in book form, it was just a transcript of a book. But it's the same as reading a book so what the heck.

I am prone to do really stupid things. Like for example, I suggested my mother and I should visit the Singapore History Museum today instead of during the weekend - taking precaution that I may not be in the mood after getting my results - when all along I had been planning to stay up and watch soccer.
So I went to sleep at almost 6 a.m. and got up 5 hours later. Went to Clarke Quay via the NEL, then walked to Riverside Point. Just before I stepped into the museum YQ sms-ed that the results would be out on Monday. So much for my "precaution". Spent don't know how long scrutinising all the exhibits - was crazy enough to read every single caption. All in all it was pretty interesting, but that's just me. I'm the sort who would get ecstatic upon seeing the famed Singapore Stone.
After that we walked to Liang Court; had lunch there. Then a spot of browsing at HarbourFront followed by our return home.
From then onwards I've been in a pretty foul mood. On top of other things, I found out the scoreline for the Man U match and saw my books again - none of them have creases on the spine, but the once perfectly-pointed edges of Artemis Fowl are now a mere memory, while thanks to long nails, there are tons of indentations on the spine of The Lady And The Unicorn. *sob*sob*
Oh yeah. Last night was the first time in a loooooooong while that the book I attempted to read was not murder-based. Now I miss those murder books. Which is why that untouched 4-in-1 volume, just a shelf away, is getting very very tempting...

It's me! At 11 a.m. in the morning!!! I assure you it is me and that I am actually awake now!!!
Haha. No really, my mother should stop announcing I have to wake up early the night before. Like, a little early notification would be nice. So because that didn't happen, I had to forego my soccer match. *sniff*sniff* Speaking of soccer, I know it's nice of Ch 5 to show the Champions League live and all that, but what are the chances of them not showing the matches I want to watch? Like this morning, instead of showing Bayern Munich vs. Arsenal, they showed Real Madrid vs. Juventus. And tomorrow morning they aren't showing Man U vs. AC Milan (HOW CAN THEY NOT SHOW A MAN U MATCH?!?!) but Barcelona and Chelsea. Grr. Never mind, I'll take what I can get...
Yawn. So sleepy.
Anyway, at the moment I'm in a dilemma as to which bag I should bring when I get my results. I need to give Sam something and return WH another thing, then get back more things from Cheryl (if she remembers - well, she better remember!)...not to mention THE RESULTS and whatever miscellaneous stuff it comes with.
Or maybe I should just stick to my original plan and stay at home.
I'm a little paranoid this morning. I just realised my sister borrowed three of my books before CNY (two of them without even asking!) and still hasn't returned them yet. I don't see why, considering she reads like a thousand times faster than me, so obviously she's finished all of them. The last time I saw The Lady And The Unicorn she was already reaching the end, And Then There Were None she was more than halfway through within a few hours of lending her, and I know Artemis Fowl was on the sofa just the other day. I seriously hope the books don't go missing or drop behind a table or something. I'm neurotic about book spines not having the slightest crease so I'll throttle her if that happens to them. Huff.
Okay, I hope she didn't read that...

I have a bad feeling of indecision. Surprise. It's so bad I think I shall go hide in one of those WWII bunkers in remote Singapore and never come out again.
I should be reading my book now or going to sleep. Sleep, yeah right. Not when I have the whole house to myself!! Unfortunately I'm just sitting here typing away. Woke up at 10.15 p.m. after YQ changed the "meeting" time and switched on the com. Then I lay on my bed and for some reason the next half hour went unaccounted for. I don't actually think I fell asleep - more like I was halfway between the conscious and unconscious world. Like I was in another dimension...or dead. Eek. (note to self for the gazillionth time: STOP READING MURDER STORIES!!!)
It's either three or six days to the end....oh, sorry, I meant THE RESULTS. I'm thinking about a conversation I had with Sam not too long ago, that it's funny the way she may want to do a Science course in Poly, but I have three relevant subjects that can be used to gain entry to her choice of course, whereas she only has one - while I may want to do a Business course, and Sam has two relevant subjects (C. Humans & POA) to my miserable one. We were discussing that ruefully and I wondered how much doing triple science for the O's had (almost) successfully screwed up my life. I had come to ignore that fact because I kinda liked Bio - and if not for Bio I would've gladly done combined science, trust me. Instead now it's either harder or impossible to do whatever I want to do now and in the future.
All the above, by the way, courtesy of the absurdly limited subject combinations at SHSS. Man, I've graduated and I'm still complaining about it!
Though if I think again, would I have traded places with Sam and gone on to 4C (ahem) ?
Yeah right.

WK just nearly scared me to death. Here I was, happily surfing the net and eating my instant pasta, when a message screen pops up asking if I received an NIE letter.
I can tell you my blood nearly ran cold. I had this sudden thought that maybe MOE/NIE had decided to send out another batch of letters. Luckily that turned out to be false, and I was soon calmed down when the phone rang and a lady asked if my house was a bikini store.
Really, at this point of time my heart is functioning very delicately. I think turning up on Friday may just be the end of me.
I'm taking a nap after this and waking up at 10 p.m. to play Yahoo! games with YQ again. We played Word Racer, Pool and Reversi till 4 a.m. this morning, then I got hooked on some messageboard discussion so I only ended up sleeping at past 6 a.m. Needless to say was NOT in a good mood when I had to wake up at 10 a.m. It didn't help when I was trying to take a quick snooze around 11 a.m. - first one auntie called and interrupted a very intriguing dream, then as I was settling into another dream, another auntie rang the doorbell and presented me with lunch.
Haven't been able to get time off till now. I shall turn off the com right after I finish my pasta. Wish I could read but I am just far too tired. Not to mention I'd rather play games later! Haha.

I. Am. So. Full.
I think I'm gonna be sick soon (and no, it has nothing to do with our dear friend's flu or whatever it was). How did I manage to eat so much today??? First there was that big bowl of Tom Yam fish noodles at Thai Express, along with some watermelon-and-lime freeze thingy for lunch, which was at 2-something p.m.
Obviously I wasn't yet hungry when I met YQ and WH outside Somerset MRT station sometime past 5 p.m. But YQ was very enthusiastic about treating us to some Italian ice cream at Takashimaya, so couldn't say no. Haha.
Right after that we walked to Orchard Cineleisure and got a table at PastaMania!. Had a plate of fusili Bacon Aglio, ice lemon tea and three slices of garlic bread. I hate garlic bread. It was quite interesting though; when the pasta arrived YQ immediately grabbed the bottle of tabasco sauce, WH reached for the parmesan cheese and I took the chili flakes. We watched while WH pronounced his food "tasteless" and went about almost finishing all the parmesan cheese. I hate parmesan cheese. Ack.
Next I annoyed YQ by refusing to watch a movie. :) We sat talking outside the cinema for quite a long time before deciding to just head for the arcade.
YQ and I tried one of the racing car simulators.
I lost.
Then we played some fighting-fighting game.
I lost too.
Finally we managed to get an unoccupied table hockey thingy, YQ and I against WH (duh). We won 11-8 (one own goal contributed by me), which is really bad when you think about it.
At long last we got out of Orchard Cineleisure. Took a short walk back to Somerset, stopping right before the MRT station at the outdoor Dairy Queen. Managed half an Oreo Brownie Earthquake (or more than half...ahem), shared with YQ. WH ate a banana split and said he didn't like the banana. Which completely defeats the purpose of a banana split if you ask me.
Anyway, by that time it was past 10 p.m. so we walked to the MRT and went home.
I shall post this immediately since YQ is asking if I'm done with today's update. :P
I think I shall explode soon.

Hello!!! I'm in a good mood today again. Or at least, I've been in a good mood since the past hour.
Anyway, I'm currently watching episodes of Happy Tree Friends now, so don't mind me if I don't sound very sane. They have an averse effect on me. Haha.
Oh yeah, I'm also very happy now 'cos I just did a spyware scan on the com and for the first time, it's completely clean. No more hijacked homepages!!! For the moment at least. Hahaha.
Another thing. Went to the TP open house this afternoon with YQ. Was hopelessly lost and ended up walking aimlessly up and down and around the School of IT & Applied Science. Anyway not like I'm gonna study there so no reason to find out where everything is. Haha.
Goodness. I've ended the last three paragraphs with a laugh. I must be in a really good mood! Haha. Oops, there I go again. Told you I'm not sane. Happy Tree Friends is so addictive. Especially now that I'm not using the stupid SHSS computers which ban the site. Hmmph.
Got a busy weekend. Well well, will pull through. Not like it's hard. Haha. Oh no, why do I keep laughing???
Another confirmation that doomsday is next Friday. But I haven't found a plastic bag large enough to hide in yet!!! Argh. Haha.
Oh help. I'm actually laughing about the results...

Sam is scaring me. She just told me the results will be out next Friday. And then she was talking about going for a movie after that. Like, ahem, I'd rather go back home and cry? And anyway, who said I was even going to turn up???
Woke up damn early today. Had barely gotten to sleep at past 2 a.m. when was dragged out at 7 a.m. or something. Tried to keep myself awake while travelling to my destination by tuning in to the radio. Haven't listened to Morning Madness for quite some time. Man, it's weird. Remember how it used to keep me alive when I was mugging for the O's...especially that loooooooong night that saw me tune in from the end of Say It With Music, all through The Late Night Show, then the following 4 hours of non-stop music, finally ending with me almost dropping dead after about 2 hours through Morning Madness. Quite sure it was Physics I had been working at. See, I put so much effort into my FAVOURITE subject!
PUKE.
Well, this time Morning Madness kept me alive again. Or at least awake. Although it was kinda hard to concentrate when we got off the bus, what with my mother talking to me and stuff. There were a number of incidents that went like this:
Radio: ...I just wanna -
Mother: Look right --
Radio: - live! Don't really care -
Mother: --when you cross the road!
Radio: - about the things that they say...
Then the DJs, to my absolute delight, played the next song, which is undoubtably the coolest song I have ever heard, and to be honest was really the reason why I was even tuning into the radio. I was just enjoying the opening music when my mother opened her umbrella in my face, but other than that, it kept me in high spirits until we got home. :)

I'm sitting here trying to ignore the glaring fact that the only future event left for February is THE RESULTS. Unfortunately it seems to be expanding and obstructing my beautiful purple blog. Ack. Stupid barrier on the road of life, that's what it is.
I've been playing an awful lot of Sims the last few days. Actually getting quite sick of watching Sims propose and give birth. Their happy lives annoy me to no end. Plus my stupid Sim keeps having daughters - not that I mind girls, since they hardly appeared in my game before - when it is absolutely vital that she have a son, or else one family line will end.
Something dawned on me yesterday. I had just finished another copy of my ever-complicated Sims family tree, when it hit me that I'm a little obsessed about diagrams. I mean, think about it - aren't genetic diagrams the only thing in Bio that ever interested me? Don't I always love working out family trees for my Sims (even back in Sims 1) and miscellaneous writings?
Oh no. I'm mad. That's just so weird.
My life is pathetic. If school ever starts for me I'll be too lazy even to get out of bed, I tell you. All I do everyday is sleep, eat, play the com and read. Then the cycle continues. I have this really bad feeling that I'm supposed to be doing something actually productive instead of just getting in everybody's way. Like study. But that's just it. Study what???
You know what? I'm sick of people asking me what I want to be in the future, then (after getting my less-than-satisfactory reply) exclaiming that it can't be possible, I should by now know what I want to do and what I want to be.
Oh yes, am I convincing. If only they knew.

I think it is time to torture everyone with a long post!
Hahaha, realised the last few have been uncharacteristically short, not to mention vague.
Let's see...what have I been doing lately? We shall start with Saturday. The only interesting thing that happened on Saturday was my dinner at some restaurant somewhere (I know, very specific). Man, was there a lot of food. And then we finally got our share of yu sheng at the end - something which I have always disliked. I mean, the whole tossing part is fun, but what on earth do they put inside the dish?? I finally figured the icky red things are some sort of ginger. I hate ginger. And the rest of the stringy things just taste weird, even if they are only carrots and turnips. Must be the suspicious powder they sprinkle all over...
ANYWAY, I finished The Mystery Of The Blue Train quite early after that and went to sleep at 1 a.m. after dozing off for an hour. Oddly enough I had a very bad night; woke up who-knows-how-many-times before it had even reached 3 a.m. In the end I got up at sunrise and read a bit of Murder In The Mews, which has four mini stories in one book. I got to the end of story one before even lunchtime. After lunch I played The Sims till past 4 p.m., then dragged myself to City Hall for the last day of MPH's sale.
The MPH sale, by the way, was quite an interesting incident. When I first read the advertisement in the papers on Saturday, I thought Saturday was the 13th and that it was the last day of the sale. When the same advertisement appeared in Sunday's paper, I realised I had made a mistake. So since I was very free, I decided I couldn't miss a chance to stock up.
Am however, a bit embarrassed to say how much I spent there, although I didn't use any New Year money. Basically I was over-reacting 'cos I don't intend on reading everything I bought yet. Ahem. To other matters.
I had what I can only call an overdose of fish last night for dinner, and fell asleep shortly after, only to awake at 11.30 p.m. Forced myself to go back to sleep but by 4 a.m. was getting tired of sleeping (oh, that sounds weird - tired of sleeping...hmm...) so I spent one hour reading my book and popping five pineapple tarts (four of which were different types). Then I went to wash up - in anticipation of sunrise - and decided to lie down a while to wait for daylight.
As expected I fell asleep and unfortunately didn't awake till noon. Sheesh.

First and foremost, do not ask why the background music isn't playing. It's gone for good. In its place, you may notice, is that very cool .gif over to your right, of Cho Hakkai from Gensomaden Saiyuki (as Ana would know!). If you're asking what on earth the "bring it on" and those three white things are about, it's in episode 46 or 48 of the first season, where Hakkai removes the three demon inhibiters he wears on his ear, subsequently turning into demon form and annihilating a room full of enemy demons - thus protecting that very lowly life form, Son Goku. (Mwahahaha, I'm so dead if someone reads this...)
On to more normal issues. Yes, a few more people turned up yesterday. All in all it was a very quiet gathering, with me spending almost the whole time dictating my Sims' lives or just typing away at Microsoft Word. Speaking of Microsoft Word, I'm really starting to like making family trees on it, even though I've only done two - the first for my FE story and the second to sort out my main Sim family.
Oh yeah, I haven't been reading a lot. I'm still at The Mystery Of The Blue Train; can't find any incentive to sit down and finish it at one go - especially since my "reading time" is usually past 11 p.m. and reading till 5 a.m. will land me in major trouble.
11th of February. My, is this month passing fast. Too fast for my liking though...

The more festive the season is supposed to be, the more depressing it is for me. And it's not like I go around expecting it to be the best few days in my life or anything remotely like that.
Yesterday was...bad. I haven't even opened that stack of red packets yet; just not in the mood. I don't think I even talked to anyone on my father's side. Which is actually not unusual, since they all speak chinese and hokkien. Oh, and I also found out (too late) that my cousin's youngest daughter was actually in Sec 1 last year, and therefore was present when I gave that humiliating introductory speech about Pub, made more humiliating by what Mdm Wong said before that. Argh, I shall never forget it. *hides head under table*
It's 1.05 p.m. now. My mother's relatives are supposed to come for lunch. Only one of my aunties is here at the moment though. How if no one else turns up??? Not that I would really like the house full of people talking and laughing, but there's a lot of food around...

Oh my goodness, is this amazing. There is absolutely no one on MSN now! Wow, I guess that confirms the fact that I am the only pathetic one to be stuck at home doing nothing.
Well, okay, I could've been out now except that I woke up too late. Not hard to guess that I stayed up to finish my book. :P Anyway, spending a nice quiet day typing is fine too.
Funny, I have this sudden urge to slaughter some Bandits in Fire Emblem. Man, I wish I had my game back; miss watching Eliwood, Sain and Raven demolish the enemies! Haha. Morbid, I know. Must be too many murder stories again!
Great. I am talking nonsense. Shall just go off.

Have not the faintest idea why I am blogging now. Don't even have anything vaguely interesting to blog about. Let's start with the boring and altogether predictable news that on Sunday I went out and bought three more books, all listed in the right-hand column as usual. Unless some other book pops up that I absolutely cannot wait to read, I shall put a stop (momentarily) to all this murder mystery business and return to the harmless adventures of "Marc, Julie et le Chien" (that is "Marc, Julie and the Dog", which I find very funny everytime I read the title). Then my mother can finally stop bugging me about the course, and I can once again return to my books.
Although when you come to think of it, that might be too late...
Oh well, Happy Chinese New Year everybody.

Tomorrow is Chinese New Year's Eve. Also known as the day when everyone returns to SHSS. Which is reason enough for me not to be there. Won't elaborate though. Just don't feel like seeing everybody...somebody...
I only turned on the computer at almost 11 p.m. because I was rushing to finish my book. The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd really is very very good - more shocking if I hadn't the habit of suspecting every single person possible, but still unsettling. Though And Then There Were None is still hard to beat in terms of suspense.
ANYWAY, my thoughts today: Chinese New Year's so-called customary spring-cleaning is just, well, an excuse to spring-clean. Do you really think anything else would make me clear my stuff (if stuffing them into any available drawer constitutes as clearing)? Nope, whoever invented this custom must know me really well. Haha.
Notice I haven't been updating. Either have nothing to say or too much to say (and have no idea if it is safe to say)...okay, I'm talking nonsense. I would just like to add that watching a soccer match with a group of people is extremely fun - missed that night watching Holland vs. Germany with 4A at NSRCC. Only wished I had been able to watch the recent Man U vs. Arsenal match the same way.
Oh goodness, is this freaky. Here I am online with MSN running. And at the corner of my screen my sister's account keeps logging in. Suppose she's having problems with her laptop in the kitchen again. Then my mum comes in complaining that my sis always forgets to close the kitchen windows and that she must write a note to remind her -
But wait. Why does she need to write a note, if my sister is sitting outside?
The answer? Because she isn't. She's out!
How creepy is that??

It's funny what weird things pop into your mind when you wake up first thing in the morning. Well, and eerie things too. Like yesterday when I awoke. Although I had like five thousand other more pressing issues at hand, "Man U beat Arsenal", for some reason, kept resounding in my head. And they had beaten Arsenal.
Except I didn't find out till almost dinnertime!
Freaky, eh? Anyway, this morning (after an entirely horrifying nightmare in which we had to sit for a SECOND round of 'O' Levels - Mrs Gan was just reading out our last mega batch of homework in preparation for it), the moment I opened my eyes, I thought, "Archaeology...must - find out..." and promptly leapt out of bed.
Not that I'm going to tell you what about archaeology I had to find out. Ha.
Well, it seems I've been absent again. Really can't think of anything interesting to say; I didn't go out yesterday. However, today at noon I met my mother on the way to Orchard Road (supposed to meet her at Orchard but ended up on the same bus), where she handed me another $5 Popular voucher. Oh my goodness. Thought I'd seen the last of it on Monday!!!
Then we reached Takashimaya and had Teriyaki chicken burgers at Mos Burger. I treated her to a strawberry shake too, which she liked ("Nice", "Such a big cup", "Cheap", "Lighter than McDonald's", etc.). So hahaha, yet another new person introduced. :)
After that, of course, I went to Kinokuniya. Walked around till couldn't find anything else to look at. Spent half the time wondering if I should get the next 2 or 3 books on my list - eventually decided that could wait till Sunday. Must remember that even though I can easily finish Appointment With Death tonight, I still have The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd on my shelf...
Ooh...the weekend is arriving. So fun. At least I've got things planned till Monday.
