Oooo...kay. More sane now. Slept at, like, 5 a.m. and barely just woke up. I know. Pathetic. But you can't really blame me, I took a nap in the evening and all. (Something tells me I should've just stayed up to play Pokemon Stadium II, but my sis was watching the TV. And now I want to play but my mum is doing the same thing!)
(twitches ear) I think she switched the telly off! But wait...that means it's nap time. Argh. So I shall continue typing...
Well, it's (pauses) erm, 5 days (or 4, whichever way you like to count) days to Bangkok. 5 days to finish my A Math!!!! (tears at hair) That's, like, 15 questions per day! I'll go mad! Someone, SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!
Ahem. As it turns out, perhaps I'm not so sane today after all...

I am feeling pretty bored now. As usual, it's late in the afternoon 'cos I woke up at lunchtime. Not without a reason, though. I finished a record of 2 sections for my E Math! That means I have one extra day to do my A Math! Yay! (Even though it's ultra tempting to just use that day to rest...)
Gee, looks like I'm actually in a good mood today. As you can see (um, HEAR, I mean), I put a new Clay Aiken track on my blog. It's "Run to Me" and I really, really like it. "Run to Me", as well as "Measure of a Man" (which you can listen to on Sam's blog) are the most meaningful songs on his CD. (And this sentence, btw, follows a whole mess of html codes!)
Still feeling pretty lame. Why don't I tell you my "10 Favourite Pokemon"? They are:
[SNEASEL] [ARTICUNO] [CLEFFA] [CLEFAIRY] [CLEFABLE] [BELLOSSOM] [MARRIL] [CORSOLA] [DUGTRIO] [???]
Okay, obviously I like the Clefairy family. I just think they're cute. Plus they are extremely versatile, being able to learn Solarbeam, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Psychic, etc. Bellossom's cute to, and I love its Petal Dance. Marril and Corsola are also under 'cute', Dugtrio is a must-have on all my Pokemon journeys 'cos its Dig and Earthquake are extremely powerful, whereas I find Articuno and Sneasel both cool (no pun intended on their Ice types) and powerful.
As for [???]...soon to be replaced by a Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon, hopefully?
And since I seem to have a lot of time on my hands, how about Pokemon achievements? Excluding Pokemon Stadium II, I have completed Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Silver and the Johto half of Pokemon Gold - in Japanese. I also completed my Pokedex in Blue, and currently have Entei and Suicune in Pokemon Silver, along with all five Eevee evolutions. Good, eh? (Blowing own trumpet here...hehehe)

Why am I feeling nostalgic? POKEMON!!! Yup, I've gotten into the craze again, training up Sneasel and Dragonair in Pokemon Silver, and battling for the Poke Cup in Pokemon Stadium II. I can't remember why I thought the Poke Cup was so tough. The four battles I fought before meeting Cheryl and Josephine at Tampines (to pass Josephine the punchcards we took from the office) were damn easy. Except for the last one (the semi-finals), the others I won in 5 min. After a spot of E Math later (I must, must, MUST finish the Revision Qns tonight) I will try the finals. If all else fails on the first try, I have four extra credits. But right now I'm wondering if my team was chosen by me or randomly selected, cos I thought all these were self-chosen but the moves and Pokemon types are pretty lousy...
ANYWAY, funnily enough, Cheryl restarted Pokemon Yellow. She *may* trade me a Tediursa (sp?) for my Remoraid, which isn't available in her Crystal version. Honestly speaking, I've prepared to trade-evolve Steelix, Porygon2 and Slowking with her for a looong time. I wonder if I will ever get them. And then there's the Totodile I bred from my Croconaw...
Of course, this is just to distract me from constantly drooling over thoughts and sightings of Pokemon Sapphire and the GBA SP. If germs weren't a problem, I'd press my nose to every display case containing them. Pity next year's O Levels, and I have too much homework to finish this holidays. Well, that and the fact I didn't just get a GBA in the beginning, instead of my GBC. I love it and all, but you have to admit it's now kinda outdated, although less so than my N64 (sob). Anyhow I'm still hoping to get my hands on some (cheap) N64 racing games (especially Wave Race) and perhaps Zelda in Bangkok. Or if I could just get that Pokemon Sapphire.........

OH MY GOODNESS! I deleted the whole post before this!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!! And it was a damn good post too! Plus a really long one!!!! See if I can recreate it.
Here goes. It's the Christmas season, my attachment is over, and yet I'm unhappy. It's not because I'm only being sent my pay at the end of the month (after all, that's only one week away), and not really because I missed going to New Zealand. In fact, I'm not entirely sure about this unhappiness, although I have taken it to be out-of-control frustration over our holiday homework. I mean, I can understand a little homework for each subject, and that's being very reasonable in Jessica Yeo terms already, but certainly not to the extreme (a la 335 words for xi zi *PLUS* TWO 100-word zuo wen *PLUS* 8 Chinese newspaper articles!). I mean, what the hell were the teachers thinking? That theirs is the only subject we take at school? That two months off is no excuse for not doing work every single day? That we don't have LIVES?
Look at it this way: my homework would've been impossible to finish in one week, maybe even two, if you'd wanted to avoid a total mental breakdown not quite one month after the already exhausting exams. And now I've gone three weeks (albeit hectic ones) without doing anything except xi zi, leaving only, what, 5 weeks left to finish everything, catch up on the week of Chemistry lessons I missed, and actually RELAX? Gee, if I could I would go up to the teachers and fling all that homework back at them, I really would. I highly doubt they even plan with each other how much homework they are going to give, because this, like June's, is absolutely ridiculous. Teenagers should not have to suffer like this after working their brains out the whole freaking year. Talk about a wasted youth. One day I am going to look back and think, "Being a teen was supposed to be the best period in my life. But I wonder where that period went to?"
This is NOT, I repeat, this is NOT making us more knowledgeable or worldy-wise or anything. This is just pure torture.
Fine. I did it. Not really my exact words, but you get the point.

Now, after all the b*tching/griping (but certainly not crap!), I shall lighten the mood with a little incident that happened yesterday.
Cheryl, Nadia, Alvin, Josephine, Jesslyn and I had already spent the whole of Thursday collating, poking holes and eyelet-punching lame leaflets for Peirce Secondary (now my nemesis). Granted, not all of us were working in the conference room at any one time, but apparently by 10 pm Alvin, Josephine and Jesslyn had completed the urgently-needed 2000 leaflet deadline. The next morning when we returned there were some more left, so Nadia, Cheryl and I got to work immediately, although my palm was bruised from all the punching done the day before. In the end I did most of the poking.
Well, by the 12.30 pm lunch all the poking was almost done (courtesy of me) and Alvin had popped in to help. Well, he was also trying to avoid going for lunch with Josephine, Jesslyn and gang. So as soon as lunchtime arrived, he tried finding somewhere to hide. Apparently the only safe place in the conference room was the hidden cupboard behind. Nadia was lookout while he crept inside (which, although occupied by a large model ship - yeah, I know, "in a conference room???" - seemed rather spacious actually). Cheryl and I continued punching and poking respectively.
When we decided that the cupboard door looked suspicious being opened a crack, and that Alvin was getting too noisy in the cupboard, Nadia locked him in with some leaflets and a box of eyelets. No sooner than that did we hear the whole box being upset inside! And then, of course, just as we got our laughter under control and the cupboard went silent, Josephine appeared. Luckily for us, she already knew we found her funny and laughed whenever she entered the room, so it didn't come as a surprise when she entered, asking for Alvin, and we all burst out laughing again.
Thankfully she didn't find anything unusual about our behaviour, and Alvin stayed quiet all throughout (if I were him I would've killed myself trying not to laugh). After sms-ing him and finally leaving the office with Jesslyn, we still hadn't stopped laughing.
I wonder if Josephine will ever know...

My imood currently says "unappreciated". That's when you work your fingers off trying to finish typing 2 batches of work (and I type DAMN fast in normal circumstances already)...then get told off for sleeping (not that I had fallen asleep yet - just resting) 5 min after lunch. I mean, I didn't even know Cheryl had checked out our cards! Gosh, am I unlucky or just hated or WHAT?!

Ooooo...KAY. I have had enough! I am hereby sick of waking up at 7 a.m. and only getting home at past 7 p.m., therefore leaving about one hour to do whatever I want to do (and that's not enough time for the littlest bit of homework!) before I sleep...and so the routine continues. I am dead tired! I've missed three Chemistry lessons already!!! I'm so far behind on my work!!! This is supposed to be my HOLIDAY!!!
*breathes deeply* Today was the most boring yet. Cheryl and I finished filing right after lunch (I went for the second lunch and we both bought and ate cup noodles in the pantry), then we were brought upstairs where we helped to bind a book called 'Tanglin Favourites' for who-knows how many hours till we were finally free. We left a few minutes earlier than yesterday, but in the end the headstart was blown completely because the damned no. 9 bus took 16 MINUTES to arrive.
...And that pretty much sums up my day. Pathetic, right? I told you it was boring...

My gosh. I am totally wiped out. Yesterday, after stumbling home starving, I ate, showered, and prompty fell asleep. Or "dropped off" would be a nicer word. I was too tired to even move from my spot on the bed. The only movement I finally made was to scurry under the covers after my mum had switched on the air-con.
Then of course, after sleeping so early I woke up at 2.30 a.m. But being me, I was guilty about not having finished my xi zi, so I went to complete it and returned to sleep at 4 a.m.
Gee, I never thought 9 hours straight of work would be so tiring. But then again I didn't know it would be 9 hours straight of typing! And just my luck I have to be both a workaholic-in-the-making AND touch-typist, 'cos I rushed through all my work and actually managed to finish two batches of tables and text (I can't emphasize how much each batch was) by 6 p.m. In fact, I finished 4 minutes ahead of time even though I was sure I wouldn't be able to complete the last page. Plus Cheryl and I spent quite a lot of time meeting in the pantry.
Speaking of her, guess what? They decided to separate us. To our dismay we were given desks in different sides of the office (actually, we're only blocked off by a divider, but it's a case of so-near-yet-so-far 'cos we have to walk out into the hallway and around a corner before we get to each others' desks. Thankfully, I'm in the not-so-cold part, with the pantry directly across from me. Cheryl's desk is across from the manager's office! But that's not the point. Different desks we could handle, but certainly not different lunchtimes! I was allotted the earlier 12.30p.m. one while Cheryl's was 1.30p.m. And boy, did I feel like a sore thumb eating at the coffeeshop with the other workers.
Therefore, today I came dressed in a more professional outfit, complete with more professional bag. Unfortunately, after I had zapped off my day's typing assignment, I had to do filing, which is seriously worse than squinting at minute words. Also, that meant a lot of climbing up and down from a stool to get to hard-to-reach drawers, and overall it was a boring experience. I mean, if I wanted to clear stuff I could've just stayed at home to tidy my room up! But it gets worse: we're spending half the day tomorrow filing again, THEN we're going upstairs for something to do with the printing process! HELP!!!!!

All right...I've been dreading this blog. When you're away for 3 full days (minus boring old yesterday), updating your blog can be sort of a drag. But I'll try and deal.
First thing's first: I woke up real early on Monday morning, had to repack my bag at the last minute, and then whisked off to school and camp. I must admit, in the end it was a great two days and one night. Even without the activities following the talks, there were other games like a water balloon fight (our group was the only one that lost both rounds. By the way, don't ever watch the ending of The Patriot before any games like these, or you'll be feeling all patriotic and believe you're fighting for your own life or something. Thankfully I only got hit from my waist down). At night after a hilarious round of skits (I had to act all slutty), we ran around the courtyard with candles, trying to blow each others' out, right before we were released for the night. NOT such a good idea since we were perspiring by then. Nevertheless most of the girls trooped over to the boys' dorm (which had a TV) to watch the whole of The Patriot. My group left pretty early 'cos everyone was so noisy we couldn't hear a thing. (The next morning we found out we had missed a brilliant part whereby someone's head got decapitated or something) ANYWAY, when we headed back to our dorm (the girls' room had a few dorms - ours was the biggest), we got out the snacks we had purchased from the vending machine earlier and ate while our teacher told us a ghost story. At long last we dropped to sleep around 1.30 a.m.
The next day we woke up with the air-con freezing cold. A few people suffered from colds the whole day because of this, but it didn't really bother me so I set to work enjoying the rest of my time at camp (even though during games time in the hall all the other groups except ours cheated badly). Before the last game of the camp our group was second-last on points (there were four groups), and in the final game we actually came up tops partly due to the other teams' illegal efforts. Whatever it was, I was sad to leave, but then again the day was only half over, although it was nearly dinner time.
To the class chalet! I was pretty excited 'cos it was the first 3A class gathering this year. I ended up popping home, unpacking, bathing, changing and leaving. On bus no.12 I was nodding off when the bus approached the bus stop and I realised (from the top deck) that a few of my classmates were getting on. Thanks to them, I cut short my travelling time by quite a lot and also got filled in on what I had missed.
I was almost the last one to arrive; everyone was at the barbeque. Cheryl, Zhi Yu, Varun and I sat at a table and yakked away before Varun had to go. Then after some time watching Phua Chu Kang in the room (don't get me wrong: I think it's a waste of time just staying cooped up in a chalet room), Cheryl and I headed to the bowling alley. After two games (we each won one), it was almost 11 p.m. We tried to go to the beach but it was too late, so in the end we headed home complaining how lacklustre the gathering had been compared to 1B and 2B's.
I can't remember what time I fell asleep, but I definitely only had time to bathe, 'cos the next day was the CCA council gathering, and therefore another morning waking up early. I actually reached Tampines MRT on time. Okaaay, maybe one minute late. Not like anybody cared, since I was far from the latest. We spent, like, two hours getting to Pelawan Beach on Sentosa. And when we finally settled in the secluded seaside, what did they want us to do? Play water games. Yes, we had to all jump right into the sea in our clothes! It took quite a few splashings from others to get me all the way into the sea, and when I finally got in I actually didn't want to get out, mainly 'cos I was the only one stupid enough to wear jeans which would NOT dry easily. We played Monkey and Captain's Ball, then crossed the bridge to the island ('The Southernmost Point on the Asian Continent') to play catch. Reason? To dry. Did it work? NO, even though I spent a long time airing on the viewing towers before being corner on the second storey by all three catchers. Even by the time we walked back to our little settlement on the beach, I didn't feel the least bit drier. After a heavy lunch I wandered off to catch the waves coming in and stood in the sun for a long while before it began to drizzle and we had to all run for cover. That put the end to the drying business. All the way back home, I never once felt the slightest bit dry, although I did eventually get most of the sand off my jeans. When I got home I gladly had a hot shower, dried off, and promptly took a loooong afternoon nap.
The next morning I found out I had gotten sunburnt on my shoulders - the only part of my arms I didn't cover with sunblock.
Perhaps it was good thing wearing jeans, after all...

Okay, quickie blog here:
1) Have been lost in the world of The Sims: Makin' Magic for the last two days.
2) School's out for the year, but who cares? I am going *nowhere* with my homework. Need a Sims break after an hour or so, but then I'm too tired to continue!
3) Won't be back for the next few days, I guess. That's why I've pre-crossed out the council camp date. It's tomorrow so I have to part with my Sims for *at least* one day. That's a lot of homework time gone, too...
